¡Hola! Soy Jordin, el creador detrás de Slow Forge Co. Vengo de una experiencia en arte y diseño gráfico y disfruto inspirarme en el mundo natural, abstrayéndolo en siluetas inusuales y divertidas. Comencé a hacer joyas acrílicas cortadas con láser en 2020 y desde entonces he ido transformando mi práctica hacia un medio más sostenible. Al trabajar con metal quiero crear un legado de joyas hermosas y duraderas que inspiren a quienes las usan a reducir el ritmo y vivir intencionalmente.
Las joyas hechas a mano y trabajadas en metal son un proceso intrínsecamente laborioso: todo lo contrario de la moda rápida. Utilizando técnicas antiguas y modernas de trabajo del metal, Slow Forge Co. se define por su dedicación a prácticas sustentables y por el uso de chatarra y materiales encontrados siempre que estén disponibles. Todas las piezas están hechas de plata esterlina y/o latón, y algunas tardan horas en elaborarse.

Hello! I'm Jordin, the maker behind Slow Forge Co. I come from an art and graphic design background and enjoy drawing inspiration from the natural world, abstracting it into unusual and playful silhouettes. I started making laser-cut acrylic jewelry in 2020 and I've been transforming my practice ever since to a more sustainable medium. By working with metal I want to create a legacy of beautiful and lasting jewelry that inspires wearers to slow down and live intentionally.
Hand-crafted, metal-worked jewelry is an inherently laborious process - the very opposite of fast fashion. Utilizing ancient and modern metalworking techniques, Slow Forge Co. is defined by its dedication to sustainable practices and for using scrap and found materials whenever available. All pieces are made from sterling silver and/or brass, some taking hours to craft.
