Fabulous Handmade, one of a kind Accessories for the Modern Pinup Gal!

Soda Sweethearts was founded in July 2014 by the pinup, vintage and retro loving pink haired lady - Holly.
With a love of all things pinup, retro and vintage; and a hunger to create gorgeous, quality, one of a kind handmade accessories for the pinup community, I was inspired to create my own line of hair flowers, clips and fascinators that catered to all tastes!

After creating my first few hair pieces, and listing them on Etsy, they sold within a few hours!
Since then, Soda Sweethearts has gone from strength to strength, receiving an amazing amount of support, love and feedback from our customers, we are growing at a much faster rate than anticipated.

All of our hair pieces are individually handmade from my home studio in tropical Port Douglas, QLD, Australia and are totally unique and one of a kind - no two are the same, so you can be sure that the piece you are buying is totally unique - no one else will have it!
High quality artificial flowers and decorations are carefully selected for each piece, arranged and securely attached to hand cut felt bases with sturdy alligator clips attached. The hair clips are then covered with felt so that they won't rip or get caught in your hair.
We also LOVE to create custom hair pieces and fascinators for our customers based on their ideas - so if you have an idea for a piece get in contact with us to turn your idea into a reality :) All custom pieces are discussed in detail with the customer and then created specifically for them based on their ideas! Most materials for custom orders are specifically sourced or specially ordered in for that particular piece, so you can be sure that it will be a one of a kind Masterpiece created just for you!

We also now have a fabulous range of hand painted wooden brooches inspired by all things vintage, and retro with a cute twist that are created from my original designs, laser cut in a gorgeous cherry timber veneer and then delicately hand painted using high quality acrylic paints. They have quickly become our most popular product!

All orders are shipped out within 5-7 business days after payment has been received - in busier periods, it may be a little longer. If this is the case, we will always try to advise you of any possible delays.

Once your order has been shipped and the parcel has physically left our hands / been handed over to Australia post for delivery to its destination, we cannot be held responsible if your parcel goes missing, is lost while in transit or is damaged due to poor handling by Australia Post.
Please contact us though if your order does not turn up within the recommended delivery time and we will do our best to resolve the issue.

If purchasing 2-3 or more items, shipping prices may differ.

If you need your item sooner, Express post is available for Australian customers for an additional $2.50 AUD, just select the express post upgrade option in checkout. We also offer postage insurance for an additional $1.50 AUD. This insures the contents of the parcel so that if your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, the contents can be refunded / replaced.

We also now offer a Registered post upgrade option for Brooch orders for an additional $3.80 AUD - This is the safest shipping method for brooches as it offers tracking, signature on delivery and compensation for loss or damage if your brooch is damaged while in transit. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU PURCHASE THIS OPTION DURING THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD.

Delivery for international orders can take anywhere between 2-4 weeks (10-20 business days), and in peak times or busy periods such as around Christmas time, it may take up to 6 to 8 weeks. If your order does not arrive within the advised time frame in your shipping notification email, please contact us however please understand that we cannot be held responsible if your order has been lost in the mail or delayed in delivery due to circumstances beyond our control.

All of our brooches are posted in padded envelopes as "letters" in order to keep postage costs as low as possible for our customers. This means that they do not come with tracking, insurance (unless you purchase registered post - aussie customers only) or signature on delivery etc. if you would like your brooch shipped to you as a parcel to enable you to track it (at an extra cost) please contact us before purchasing and we will be more than happy to accomodate this.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer an express shipping option for international orders, however all of our hair pieces are posted via Pack & Track international shipping which enables you to track your parcel while it is in transit. Your tracking number will be emailed to you in our shipping notification.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds are only accepted for faulty items. No refunds will be given for change of mind purchases, or items that have been damaged while in transit by poor handling methods used by Australia Post.
Returns are only accepted if the item is faulty (for example, a flower has fallen off the hair piece)
Please contact us via Etsy or Facebook to organise a return / replacement or exchange for your item if it is faulty.
PLEASE NOTE: Buyer is responsible for cost of return postage. A replacement, exchange or refund of the item purchased will be given at the time of receiving the item back.

We do not accept returns for change of mind purchases or if the item has been damaged OR lost in transit. We accept no responsibility if the item has been damaged in transit after the item has left our hands. We do our best to securely and safely package your items to avoid this.
For Australian customers, you can also purchase the postage Insurance upgrade option in checkout for $1.50 AUD to insure your item against loss or damage while being carried by Australia post.
Additional policies and FAQs

To place a custom order, click on the "request custom order" link in our Etsy shop, or message us through Facebook to discuss / arrange your custom order.

Custom orders need to be placed a minimum of 2-3 weeks (for Australian customers) prior to the date they are required by and a minimum of 4-5 weeks for international orders, prior to the date they are required by.
If you wish to order a custom piece last minute, please contact us to discuss whether we will be able to create your piece for you in time. We will do our absolute best to accommodate all custom orders and fulfill them in the time frames you provide, however as we are a small business that is single-handedly run by one person, this may not always be possible.

Depending on the nature of the piece, detail and materials in stock at the time of placing your order, please allow 1-6 weeks for all custom orders to be completed. An approximate time frame and price (if requested) will be given to you when placing your order. Please advise us if there is a particular date you need your order by so we can do our best to make sure it is completed and shipped in time for you.

All custom orders are to be paid for in full, strictly within 48 hours after they have been completed. If your custom order is not paid for within this time frame, you will be contacted for payment. If we do not hear from you within 24 hours, the item will then be re-listed for sale to the the general public.

If you need more time to pay for your order, or would like to pay off your order in smaller payments / installments please contact us as early as possible to arrange a payment plan or make alternative payment arrangements. We are very flexible :)
