About Soobird

Sales 96
On Etsy since 2009

I can't sit still for more than five minutes!

The Mad Hatter and all things Alice in Wonderland regularly appear in my portfolio along with Poker, Burlesque and Vintage styles and themes. The people I work and live with are my biggest inspiration, and after a day sharing my skills with students, or chatting to fellow enthusiasts, I look forward to coming home to my workshop and creating unique pieces from my ever growing collection of materials that I have harvested over the years.

I'm self taught and that's the side of my art I enjoy the most. I enjoy exploring and experimenting with materials and techniques until I am confident enough to share the results and part with them for others to enjoy.

I am constantly looking for the next theme or project, the latest being a sketchbook circle with fellow secondary art teachers. My passion for all things arty has stemmed from an early age. My mum in particular encouraged me to develop my creative side and follow what I was interested in. Through my teaching and my own learning I have developed my own designs and creations.

Returns and exchanges
I hope you will be happy with your item but in the unlikely event that you want to return it please contact me ASAP. The item should be sent back within 5 days (proof of postage would be advisable) and as long as it is returned in the same condition it was sent you will receive a refund minus the shipping costs. If it was a custom order the cost of item specific materials will be deducted.
**Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer**

My creations are made to last. I have spent a lot of time and money on perfecting my skills. That said, they still need to be treated with care. Individual care instructions will be sent with items that require a little extra TLC.

For paper pieces I will not accept returns if they are worn in the rain!
Payment is expected within 24 hours. If there will be a delay or special circumstances just let me know and I am sure we'll work it out.

Paypal is the quickest method of payment but if you are not in a hurry bank transfers are also accepted and card payments are also accepted. Please be aware that these usually take 3-5 days to clear, especially payments outside of the UK.

If for some reason you wish to cancel your order please let me know ASAP. If work has already begun cost of materials and my time will be charged.
I carefully wrap and package each individual item to ensure it gets to you in one piece. This happens within 48 hours of payment unless it is a custom order which will take longer.

Shipping used is generally first class mail. Insurance or tracking can be added onto the purchase price if desired. Contact me with your request prior to paying and I will send another invoice.

Faster shipping is available, just ask.

CUSTOMS CHARGES are the responsibility of the buyer. If there is a delay in your parcel arrival please allow extra time for customs.
