Thank you so very much for sending my sheep after giving you such a short time frame to work with. It was the perfect gift and instantly loved.

Perfect little squirrel. My children want some ‘baby squirrels’ too, but I explained that probably wouldn’t happen with the small size the adult squirrel already is!
Maybe some baby penguins or baby deer though to go with the other ones?
Beautiful quality for all figurines

I bought a set of dinosaurs recently and honestly they are the sweetest nicest toys ever! I adore them, my daughter LOVES playing with them. Couldn’t be happier, thank you so much!

Love the animals so much! I bought the natural set so I could add my own colour, I didn’t do them justice I don’t think and am very tempted to buy the painted set next time!
The Southsea Toy story
I have always been fascinated by wood, it's look, it's texture and sustainability.
When my husband and I bought our first house in 2015, I 'casually' convinced him that we make our own furniture, because we could make it fit perfectly, look exactly the way we want and because solid wood is more eco friendly than veneer.
A year and a half later, we found ourselves with lots of off cuts (and lovely furniture) and I couldn't help but imagine what lovely pieces I could make with them. So I started drawing and cutting toy figurine ideas. Soon I found myself spending every spare moment I had creating or brainstorming on my new venture.
All my toys are lovingly designed and handmade by myself in Southsea (UK). I want my toys to be as ethical and eco friendly as possible, so I only use FSC certified wood (from sustainable forests), eco friendly paints and varnish (all certified toy safe according to EU legislation). My packaging is entirely recyclable or compostable. All my toys are CE tested which means they conform with strict EU toy safety standards.
I hope you love the toys as much as I do!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders
I love custom orders, so feel free to ask! A design fee of at least £5 will be charged depending on the time I will need to spend on drawing your design (as an idea, I would charge £5 for designing an animal figurine that is not in my current portfolio). I will also always be honest regarding lead time and overall cost of the order prior to you purchasing so you are well informed to decide if you want to go ahead with your order.
Shipping upgrades are available at the checkout. All my items are shipped from the UK.
- For UK orders, my items are sent 1st class as standard but you can upgrade to a Signed For service for an extra £1.20.
- For international orders, my items are sent by Standard Airmail but you can upgrade to have it tracked for an extra £5 (it is not faster, but you can check where your item is).
If you would like another type of shipping upgrade, please contact me and we can discuss options together.
Unless you have otherwise requested, all my toys are finished with an organic varnish so you can wipe most stains off with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the wooden toys in water as it will most likely damage them.
All my toys are made to order by myself and by hand (no laser cutting nor automated production systems) so if you would like to place a bigger order, please contact me first as the lead time is likely to be longer than my standard 5 working day promise.
Delivery times to the USA
My toys are shipped from the UK, therefore you should make sure you allow enough time for the item to reach you if you are ordering from outside the UK.
Delivery times to the US can vary from as little as a week to 4-6 weeks in rare circumstances if items are held at customs. As an average, packets usually arrive within 2 weeks, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee delivery dates as packets are out of my control once shipped. For Christmas orders I would suggest ordering at least 6 weeks in advance for best chances of receiving the items on time. You can upgrade your shipping to have it tracked, however note that this is not faster.
Delivery times to the UK
Once I have shipped your order, it usually takes 1-2 days for your packet to be delivered as I send all my items to the UK first class.
For Christmas orders, I would suggest that you order with plenty of time to spare (at least 3 weeks) as I am likely to be busier and if I haven't made the item you want in advance it can take me several days to make.
Feel free to contact me if you want a better estimate on my lead time.
