Welcome to my online shop.
Please note due to the pandemic Royal Mail postal charges have increased and are subject to change. Please contact me to check prices, however any excess over £1 will be refunded. Also due to Brexit and increased shipping charges I have only listed postal charges within the UK. If you are a customer from US/Canada or Australia please contact me for a shipping quote.
I'd like to thank all of my customers for their support for my small business in the past and during these challenging times. I'd like to reassure customers that I am following all the guidelines for safe and hygienic handling and postage of goods.
Despatch may take a little longer than usual and I would thank everyone for their patience.
New shop location.
I now have a shop in Dumfries called Artisan & Vintage (Artisanandvintage.com) which I opened in November 2019. ( Photos will be added soon). We reopened again in July 2020.
Before that I set up TLChic in a studio shop at Drumlanrig Castle in South West Scotland in 2017 in one of the Stableyard studios.
I have a passion for all things Shabby Chic and Vintage China which I source in Central and South Scotland and the North of England.
My favourite pasttime is sourcing beautiful china for sale for the home or for hire for afternoon tea, parties or vintage weddings. I like to see my customers step back for a while and enjoy a touch of bygone luxury.
Vintage china often brings back special memories of people and places we love and lots of my customers at the castle shared many lovely memories of family who owned china tea sets, similar to some of the lovely china which I have in my shops. My china has travelled all over the world as souvenirs and gifts.
My other passion is to save some lovely furniture by giving it a makeover and a new purpose and lease of life in modern homes. I love chalk painting- its a great way to extend the life of furniture that no longer fits in!
Before all this, I worked in Higher Education which was very fulfilling but my work now is pure fun!
I also offer workshops to learn chalkpainting and decoupage and hire out space for other workshops.
Our new shop in Dumfries is much loved by our local customers and a regular drop in for many who love to browse our shelves.
I now share my shop with Christine who was a neighbour from the castle and who is a wool artist. She sells many locally produced items and gifts for over 20 other local producers.
If you are in the area, do drop in if you are in Dumfries. We are on the Whitesands, right next to the famous River Nith with its Salmon Ladder. Or please continue to browse my Etsy shop for lovely china.
At this difficult time I may be taking a bit longer to process orders but hope to keep supplying customers with lovely china at the same time as following government guidelines to keep us all safe and support our healthcare workers and other essential staff.
Looking forward to better times.
Thanks for all your custom and support!
Thanks Anne

TLChic Vintage China and Shabby Chic
Four years ago I turned my hobby into a business.
I've always had a passion for vintage china and have spent many afternoons sharing stories with my customers when a certain china cup can bring to life a memory of afternoon tea with a Granny or a special Aunty.
Appreciating the finer things in a lovely china cup takes us back to a different time and makes us pause to enjoy a conversation and a nice cup of tea.
I've supplied china for afternoon tea at Drumlanrig castle tea rooms, a theatre performance and special events such as a wedding, a baby shower and parties to help make the day special.
My other passion is chalk painting lovely vintage pieces of furniture and giving them a new lease of life.
