About

How It Began...

I'm Emily, welcome to Talented Apple!

Talented Apple is all about the playful, simple and colourful aspects of everyday life.

Born and bred in Scotland, I now live and work in Melbourne, Australia. I run Talented Apple from my home studio, taking inspiration from flora and fauna that I find out in the wilds as well as elements of daily life in my home cities.

Every piece is hand printed by myself, so every piece is unique. I use screen printing and my own hand carved lino cuts to create my fabric designs which sprout from my love of nature and whimsy, with a sprinkling of my own sense of humour.

Ethics and Materials...

I use water-based, non-toxic and eco-friendly inks that do not contain the harmful chemicals of plastic-based inks. Where possible, I always try to use local materials in my products. My tea towels, tote bags and baby bibs are all sourced from an ethical supplier and made from 100% organic cotton. My mens and womens tees are certified organic and have the Fair Wear Foundation label which promotes ethical trade. All other items are sewn by my own fair hand.

Special Orders...

If you'd like to make a special order with custom colours or prints from my range, or a totally bespoke piece, just send me a message. I'd be delighted to help produce something unique for a special event or a special person.
