Terry is a real gentleman. Excellent delivery communication and very prompt delivery (dispatched within a day, fresh from the walls of the great museum depicted in this very art). His enthusiasm about his art and their subjects is infectious and he's very generous in sharing his valuable insights. The picture itself arrived promptly (the other side of the world) and in perfect condition. Photos don't do it justice as the colours are much more pronounced in real life. I'm no art buff but I know what I like and I'm sure this won't be the last creation I purchase from Terry. Many thanks Terry and rest assured I'll display this piece in a prominent place where many people will not only enjoy it but will get to hear some of the insights I learned from you about the subject of this great painting.

Absolutely love this painting. It's even better in the flesh than on screen. I saw it posted on twitter and bought it within a minute - the proportions and colour balance are spot on. Terry packed and despatched it promptly and with great care. Lovely comms. Thanks for an easy and delightful purchase. Helen

THANK YOU TERRY!!!! I love this canvas. As a Stokie living away from home it really does bring a bit of my heritage into my house. Really good quality, looks amazing and I shall buy more from you again. The personal customer service too was greatly appreciated and it's nice to support a local artist. Thanks again!
Inspired to paint!
Potteries born Terry Woolliscroft enjoyed his entire career in the ceramics industry. He now works from his studio in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
He paints in acrylics and oils and having no traditional art schooling, is mainly self taught. He enjoys painting landscapes, seascapes and still lifes and adapts his diverse style depending on the subject and his mood. His paintings have found new homes here in the UK and as far afield as Japan, New Zealand, Arizona and Washington.
He draws inspiration from the rather special landscape of the north Staffordshire Potteries, and is influenced by Stoke artists Maurice Wade, Jack Clarkson, and Reginald G Haggar. He loves the work of Jiri Borsky, Rob Pointon and Ian Pearsall. More widely he loves the painting style and teaching of Hashim Akib and Marie Antoniou.
His work can be seen on line and in local galleries. He was privileged to have a solo show at The Foxlowe Art Centre, Leek in 2018, and was selected for the Three Counties Open Art Exhibition, Burslem, in 2019.
He is the creator and administrator of The Bottle Oven Art Club which was established in May 2020 as a one-off online exhibition of 50 selected artworks celebrating the culture and heritage of the bottle ovens and kilns of the Potteries.
In May 2021 Terry was shortlisted for the Museums and Heritage Award 2021 (nominated by Gladstone Pottery Museum) for his voluntary work in establishing the Art Club during the pandemic lockdown of 2020.
