I am happy to say that I am still shipping all my products to Europe but please be aware that some orders are experiencing significant delays getting through customs. About TheBonnieBothy

On Etsy since 2019

Hello! We are Annie and Paul - a wife and husband team based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Having met while studying at the University of St Andrews, a huge a foundation of our relationship has always been the Scottish countryside and outdoor adventures - we are most often found on a weekend up a hill somewhere in the Highlands. When we finally purchased our first house together in 2018 we immediately wanted to find a way of bringing our love of nature and green spaces indoors.

However, living in a small flat, we quickly found that not only was space limited, but we wanted to find ways of incorporating plants and green spaces that didn't detract from the aesthetic we wanted for our home. We decided therefore, to turn empty wall space green, allowing us to combine our more minimalist style with our love for plants and nature. Thus, The Bonnie Bothy was created.

Bothies are tiny huts found all over rural Scotland - they provide temporary homes to any hiker/adventurer who wishes to stay and are often located in some of the greenest and most beautiful places of the country. Bonnie, as we are sure most of you know, is the Scottish word for something beautiful. This combination of words presents our ethos of creating something with a more modern design aesthetic that allows nature and greenery - and all the benefits these bring - to be brought indoors in a space-saving way.

We are so excited to be able to share our products with you! Please get in touch in you have any questions,

- Annie and Paul

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders

We love custom orders! Please just send us a message with a brief description of what you are looking for and we will be happy to provide a quote.

We are open to any request and can do:
- maps
- initials
- logos
- patterns
- full coverage moss walls (aka no frame, covering an entire section of wall)

All can be done using different colours of moss/custom frames. Please get in touch for more details.

If you want a specific size or shape of moss wall, but are unsure about the design - we are also happy to collaborate with you to create a design and style that will suit your space.

Care instructions

Our moss walls require no care, just hang and enjoy! Our only recommendation is to keep them out of too much direct sunlight, as this will cause the moss to fade over time.

Sizing details

The sizes of our moss walls are provided in the descriptions of individual products. If you are looking for a specific/custom size or shape, please get in touch and we would be happy to provide you with a quote!

Gift wrapping and packaging

If you would like an item gift wrapped - please let us know and we are happy to do this for an additional fee.
