I'm a complete beginner but this pattern looks really easy to follow. Can't wait to try it.
Hello! My name is Michelle, a.k.a. the Giddy Stitcher.
So first thing's first: why "giddy"? Well, the brand started off in 2013 as a blog about learning to knit, with all the idealistic beginner enthusiasm that suggests. Crochet and cross-stitch soon followed, and before you could say "railroad your stitches" I was surrounded by floss and yarn, and publishing patterns in books and magazines.
Over the intervening years, while all three crafts remain regular downtime activities, cross-stitch patterns stood out as the most fun to make. And what's the point if you're not having fun, right?
Most of my patterns are small, because I remember how overwhelming a big project can be to a beginner and the quick gratification of a small project does wonders for crafting self-confidence.
Cross-stitch has helped me to unwind, to strike up conversations with interesting strangers, to deal with stress and anxiety, and of course to make some beautiful pieces. I can only hope that my patterns help someone else to do the same.

Frequently asked questions
Do you sell cross-stitch pattern kits?
No. At the moment my patterns are only available as digital downloads. Physical pattern kits will hopefully be available in the near future.
Can I sell work created from your patterns?
Patterns may not be resold in any form and they may not be offered for free in any forum, such as a blog. Finished items may be sold freely, but I'd love to hear about it - please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any specific questions.
Can I buy a completed cross-stitch piece?
Unfortunately, I am unable to sell finished pieces. One sample of each pattern is made for photography purposes and these need to be kept for publicity.
Do you accept commissions?
No, unfortunately at the current time I do not have capacity to accept any new commissions. Please check back in future as this may be a possibility at a later date.
