Ever since I was a child I've been drawing and painting, much like anyone else. I then discovered the joy of building plastic model kits, and continued to build them well into adulthood.
Then, I found that I needed a greater challenge for my skills and larger, more complicated kits were becoming quite expensive. I decided to move in a different direction and started collecting wargaming figures. Through these I discovered the art of converting and modifying these miniatures.
This opened the doors to my creativity and a learnt a great deal of more advanced techniques and developed my skills in modelling and painting.

This led to selling some painted miniatures and finding that people would pay for my work.
But the world of commission painted miniatures is very crowded and I wanted to branch out and find my own niche.

I started creating more unique artworks but the one main feature that has permeated right from an early stage is an attention to details with a purpose; not just adding detail for the sake of it, every detail has a reason to be there and has had as much care put into it as the largest parts of any of my work.

This was the start of The Mini Details of DrH.

My attention to detail also helped with my studies up to and including a doctorate of Chemistry and beyond.
And now I bring all that I have to the world of art.

I design, carve, sculpt, mould, cast, and paint anything and everything.
I hope that you like something you see.
