5 out of 5 starsI ordered my grandchildren leaf and my children gave to me for Christmas. Some of us were sick on Christmas so we just celebrated together on Jan. 8th. I finally saw my gift and it is gorgeous!! It is beautifully made - crafted with such time and talent. I truly love it and would recommend Tracey's work to others! Thank you, Tracy! I will cherish my leaf always!

Real leaves are rolled into the clay to produce wonderful textures.
My passion for working with clay.
Welcome to my shop :0) I'm a UK Yorkshire based Ceramic Artist.
From the rolling waves of the ocean to the falling autumn leaves, these inspirations from nature flow seamlessly through my work.
I use traditional hand building techniques, slab, coiling & pinching to form my pieces. I like to control the clay whilst also enjoying it's natural ability to move, relishing the texture & ruggedness of a ripped edge against a simple silhouette. I love to collect leaves, shells, seaweed & driftwood when on walks with my family. These organic finds are then rolled into the clay surface giving it an irresistible tactile quality.
The use of different firing techniques help keep my ceramics vibrant & contemporary. Beautiful turquoise blues emerge from Raku firing. The delicate black lines of the horse hair firing dances across the smokey white surface, each unique and precious.

Having grown up on the coast and now surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire countryside my main sources of inspiration come from nature. I love to collect leaves, sticks, shells & driftwood to create texture or as part of the finished design.
