Gorgeous merino wool bundles before felting
Hello! My name is Karen and I have a passion for craft and beads that I fit around my Nutrition career and looking after my two children and my dog.
Twinkle Designs Scotland was first started by my lovely Mum and I joined her in 2009. Mum created the name of Twinkle Designs since the first song she sang to each of her five grandchildren was "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and of course her jewellery twinkled! Sadly Mum passed away in 2011 and I keep the jewellery going in her memory.
I mainly create handmade felt from beautiful merino wool by the wet felting process from my own home in Scotland. I then turn the felt into pieces of jewellery. I thoroughly enjoy the colours that are inspired by the beautiful countryside that surrounds me.
I do make other types of jewellery and home decorations. I use a wide range of colourful crystals and beads in my designs, held together with a range of clasps and strung on different types of wire, cord and chain.
I also love to create handmade cards incorporating my jewellery into them, making the cards with a gift that extra special. I have attended craft fayres and will do house parties.

Care instructions
Silver and gold plated jewellery will tarnish with time and wear. It is good to polish it frequently with a soft dry cloth to avoid tarnish.
Also I recommend you protect your silver jewellery by keeping it in the box and organza bag provided and store it in a dry, cool place and keeping individual pieces separate to avoid scratching. To bring back sparkle from gemstones use warm water, washing up liquid and a soft brush, take care not to scratch the silver or gold metal and rinse thoroughly .
Avoid contact with perfume, chemicals, deodorant, velco, water etc
To keep the condition of your jewellery looking new, always remove when showering, swimming or when undertaking manual or dosmestic work.
