No.1 Light Company in the UK, we offer alternative light fixtures to your home
It all began in 2015 when I opened the shop formally known as, The London Light Company. We started out offering alternative light fixtures made from industrial conduit.
Since then we have moved from our London base to a small workshop in Berkshire and changed to The Urban Light Company Ltd.
Although we have kept some of our condiut lights for sale we are looking to branch out more with new exciting and creative designs, to suit our customers.
All of the lights we sell are handmade in the UK in our quaint workshop and we have a great passion to design lights that are elegant, unique and fully functional. We love to add colour to our designs and never frightened of pushing the boundries.

Frequently asked questions
Will your lights work in the US and EU countries?
All of our lights with are compatiable within the US and EU countries. The lights have all been PAT tested and certified by a qualifed electrician with over 40 years experience.
Will the bulb come with the light?
No the edison bulb will not be included with the wall light. This must be purchased independently.
Do you offer a discount if I purchase more than 2 lights at a time?
Yes, we can offer you a discount if you were to buy in bulk order. This can be arranged further between emails.
Can we use your lights in our Bathroom?
The light fitting is designed for internal use only, and should not be installed to area of
excessive condensation that may be prevalent in bathrooms etc. They will also need to
meet the current electrical regulations for the positioning of light fittings to a room
containing a bath/shower. (*If you are unsure you should seek the correct advice from an
electrician.)
Do your lights come in other colours?
Yes, we offer a bespoke service so if you can not find the correct color match for your light on our listings we can design one exclusively for you.
Are your lights PAT & Cert tested by a qualified electrician?
Your light fitting has been electricity tested and inspected by a qualified professional
electrician prior to your delivery.
