Orginal Art & Hand Embellished Prints
I am a UK based artist with my roots in south-east Poland. I was born in small town. There was a Museum of Folk Architecture where in old, wooden churches I could admire old Russian sacral paintings known as The Icons. It leaved a mark on my art forever. In my art you will find those marks.
When I was nineteen I went on a long hitch-hiking trip to the West Europe where I was there first time. Austria, Italy, Spain and France when I painted Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris to have money for onward journey. After the trip when in the East Europe communism collapsed I moved to Warsaw.
I studied Art in Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw. Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, Keith Haring - I met Pop Art that time and still love that style. You will find it in my art.
But I am not painter only. I make a lot of photographs, especially fashion, pop art style.
I am a filmmaker as well. In the past I made a lot of TV commercials so in my art you can find commercial eye, love to beauty, love to pop culture but you can find eastern mysticism as well, this small influence of sacred painting in eastern paintings such as Ukrainian or Russian Icons.
Recently I have established my Online Art Gallery where I will present my Art, but my talented relatives as well. In a future You will find there photographs of my partner Asha, digital art of my daughter Nadia, sketches of my brother Lukas or paintings of my friends.
