Brand new condition! My sister has one she purchased in England at a yard sale in the 90s. I'm so glad I found one and you ship to the states. It even came with a chain. It is perfect and it arrived quickly! Thank you so much!
Vintage Norah....a lifetime of gathering.
UPDATE 2021: There's no stopping our Norah!!! Always thinking ahead and being creative with the candles and box making within the family as she grew up. She also had a 'creative' side to her...cue, the 1970's era and Christmas presents being wrapped in all kinds of newspapers & wallpapers with a bow shoved on top!!!
Update 2016: Since the opening of Vintage Norah, you will be glad to know her items are spreading worldwide...yep she is everywhere, right down to New Zealand. Some items have gone to museums, TV studios, galleries or revivals.
Some have been the finishing touch for a wedding outfit,a birthday gift and even a 'must have a go with these' gift!!!(Hair grips.) xxx
In the beginning around 1918 in the suburbs of Birmingham, England, a little girl came into the world. Her father was a cooper, her mother helped out and raised the family.
When Norah was six, her mother died and in diaries left by Norah which were found later, she recalls her mothers funeral with great detail. A sadness she carried with her through out her life.
Norah loved to rummage, to find a bargain and over the years she was able to 'store' many, many, many things!!!!
She had a soft spot for hats....we came across nearly 230! Bags, gloves, oh my it goes on!!
Many of her 'gatherings' have been spread around to help with fundraising and even for others to earn a 'bob or two'.
Some of her jewellery have been recrafted into new pieces. You will find them among the listings here. (She sure knows how to keep me busy!)
For me, a grand daughter, she has given me a chance to enjoy 'being a little girl again' sorting through all of what you see here in the shop...it is an ongoing process.
This has extended to being on facebook, twitter, pinterest and there is the blog which has little snippets into her back ground.
All what you see have a story to tell, like all vintage, but on this occasion I know where and who they came from.
Please enjoy as much as I enjoy bringing this all together.
(Nan, 93 years to gather, another 93 to sort out!!!!) x
I'm one of Norahs youngest grand daugthers. A big softie with a huge amount of old fashioned values and respect for others. Vintage accessories, crafty and handmade bits, printable papers and journals for you to enjoy and daydream of times gone by. x

Specialising in high-quality techniques and processes ~ engraved, printed, ceramic and embroidered; you are sure to find the perfect personalised gifts. Use ethically sourced products. Environmentally friendly processes and recycled packaging materials have recently helped save 494 trees.
So,here it is, in honour of 'our norah' an opportunity to continue the life of these treasures.
Norahs aunt was a candle maker at the turn of the 1900s and a large wooden box :made by Norahs father: still shows wax droplets from that time.
Today, THE box is with me , and through pure nostalgia you will find our botanical wax melts & wax sachets ; hand poured by myself; among all the other treasures.
Norah loved to write poems and over the years we have found little snippets of her life written on various scraps of paper or old envelopes (she never let anything go to waste!) his has inspired me to create and handmake journals, ephemera & printable papers for the papercrafters among us.
You'll find some of her vintage costume jewellery here too and the 'orphaned or broken bits' will either be used as decoration for craft items or packaged for your own craft decor.
In keeping with her love of making use of what you have and recycling in creative ways, I hope you enjoy all that you find here.
