Personal art, made from what matters to you.
From personal gifts to prints made just for you
Our story
Visualo Studio didn't really start as a business. It started years ago with me making things for people.
As a teenager, I spent hours editing photos for friends and family, creating images to share on MySpace and DeviantArt — which probably gives away my age more than I'd like! I carried on designing throughout university, but over time it became less about simply editing pictures and more about creating something personal.
Birthdays and special occasions usually meant making something myself: a favourite photograph transformed into artwork, a memory recreated as a print, or an idea that I knew couldn't simply be bought from a shop.
That continued while I became a science teacher. I was still designing, still making gifts and, increasingly, ordering larger prints of my work. Eventually I realised just how much I was spending having them professionally printed. When I compared the prices charged locally and online, I started wondering whether I could produce the same professional quality myself while keeping bespoke artwork affordable.
So I invested in professional printing equipment and began producing my own work from start to finish.
And, eventually, those years of making things for friends and family became Visualo Studio.
Today, the idea behind Visualo is still pretty much the same: create something for someone that they couldn't just walk into a shop and buy.
That might be artwork inspired by a much-loved pet, the location of a first date, a favourite sunset, an important memory, a love story, an inside joke or an idea that's wonderfully difficult to explain.
Every bespoke piece is created individually. I genuinely enjoy the design process and want the finished artwork to feel like somebody has spent time thinking about the details, rather than simply dropping a photograph into a template.
You'll have the opportunity to see and approve your personalised design before it's printed, and once you're happy, I print and quality-check it myself before carefully packaging it for delivery.
Ultimately, I want Visualo to be somewhere you can arrive with almost any idea and simply ask:
"Could you turn this into something?"
Hopefully, the answer will usually be yes.
