Hello there! I'm Jane, the creative force and sculptor extraordinaire at VodkaMargarine.

The name VodkaMargarine has a delightful tale of its own, inspired by the comedic brilliance of Rik Mayall & Ade Edmondson in the 90’s TV series, Bottom. The memory of resorting to vodka margarine instead of brandy butter still tickles my funny bone after all these years. As I craft clay characters with the sole purpose of spreading joy, the name VodkaMargarine felt like the perfect fit.

These clay characters aren't newcomers to the scene; they made their debut in 1999 under a different moniker, gaining popularity at local craft shows. However, life events and a dip in confidence led me to put sculpting on hold for more than a decade. Fast forward 12 years, and my passion reignited, thanks to the vibrant designer art toy industry.

Creating characters is my ultimate joy. Each one has its own unique story (perhaps I'll spill the details someday), but for now, they exist to bring a smile to your face. If I've done my job right, they might even coax a laugh out of you.

Every character is meticulously hand-sculpted by yours truly using polymer clay, making each piece a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Excitingly, I have plans to expand my range to include resin and plushies, promising thrilling times ahead!
