Hello there, I’m Jane the designer and sculptor behind VodkaMargarine.

VodkaMargarine - The name comes from the genius of Rik Mayall & Ade Edmondson in the 90’s TV series, Bottom. Having to resort to vodka margarine instead of brandy butter still makes me laugh all these years on, so, as I create clay characters to make people laugh the name VodkaMargarine seemed to suit.

This is not the first appearance of my clay characters, they came into being in 1999 (although under a different name then) and proved popular at local craft shows. Somewhere along the lines I lost confidence and life events got in the way, sculpting took more than a back seat, I stopped altogether. Leap forward 12 years and I have found my passion again, thanks to the designer art toy industry.

I love creating characters, they all have their own stories, maybe I’ll share them with you sometime but for now they are there to make you smile, if I’ve done my job well they may even make you laugh.

Each character is hand sculpted by me using polymer clay, so each one is unique. In time I will expand my range to include resin and plushies, exciting times ahead!
