About

Eco Friendly Sterling Silver Jewellery Handmade in London

Emma Barnes created Wild Fawn in January 2015 when her love for making and drawing transformed into the love of working with silver and gold to make timeless jewellery that can be enjoyed every day. Each piece of jewellery is made by hand in her London studio, which is important to Emma because it means that there has been no exploitation of workers or unnecessary C02 emissions from transport to bring you Wild Fawn Jewellery.

With a background in Anthropology, Emma knows that it's incredibly important to learn about where and how her materials are sourced and how people and cultures can be negatively affected by mining silver and gold. This is why Emma uses recycled silver and Fairtrade gold to make her jewellery so it can be made and worn with a clean conscience. Emma is a registered Fairtrade gold user which means that the gold she uses to make each piece of jewellery is produced fairly and transparently. Buying Fairtrade gold helps to build miners futures by investing in social projects such as new schools and healthcare, and most importantly, to make their own way to prosperity.

Emma's mission is to spread the word about eco-friendly, ethical jewellery that doesn't need to cost the earth.

Frequently asked questions
What does eco friendly silver mean?

Eco Friendly Silver is simply recycled sterling silver. It means that there has been no mining or human exploitation involved in sourcing the silver. In every other way though, it's exactly the same as 'normal' sterling silver.

My skin is sensitive to nickel, will Wild Fawn jewellery irritate me?

The silver that I use complies with the EU Nickel Directive which regulates the use of nickel in jewellery and other products that come into contact with the skin. This means that the amount of nickel in the silver I use complies with the strictest regulations so should be fine in sensitive ears.

How long will it take for you to make & dispatch my items?

For most items, I hand make to order which means that it could take up to 5 working days for me to dispatch your order. I do have some best selling items ready made so will be able to dispatch these sooner! If you need an item urgently, please get in touch and I'll be able to give you a better idea :)

Why do you send UK orders using a Signed For service?

I use a signed for service for all UK orders to guarantee that you get your item. I've found in the past when orders were not sent using Signed For, a lot of items went missing in the post so Signed For is much more reliable and means that as a maker and buyer, we can both be more confident that your jewellery will arrive to you safely!

Do you do custom orders?

I love to do custom orders whether that's a variation on an existing listing or a new item completely so please get in touch if you have something in mind. It's always fun to work on new things!

What is my ring size?

If you are unsure of your ring size or would like to know what your UK ring size equivalent is then you can use this chart http://www.wildfawnjewellery.com/ring-sizing
