Aianaiya
I am a fantasy illustrator based in the United Kingdom. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland at the age of three months old I moved to South Africa where I lived until I was 7 years old. At 7 years old I moved back to the UK and have lived here ever since!
My love of fantasy art came about on a trip back to South Africa. We went to a beautiful fairy inspired place that had fantasy painting for kids and fairy ornaments and spell books. Since then I have always loved everything magical and witchy.
I had been drawing since I was little - it was one of my favourite things to do, but I only started seriously doing it in 2012. In 2012 I created an Instagram account. On this account I uploaded all my artworks. They were awful but the feedback I got from people was amazing and it pushed me to really improve myself. I decided to start drawing realistically to improve my skills. After realistically drawing I moved onto my love for Illustration and so aianiaya was born.
Everyday I am learning new techniques and coming up with new product ideas that I would love myself. And I am so very grateful for every order I receive and for the happiness I can give to people through my work, so thank you. I appreciate all the support and each and every person I encounter through this business is a part of my Aianaiya family - love you guys!

Absolutely! Your photo will be drawn in my own style with your preferences messaged through etsy by yourself.

What does 'aianaiya' mean?
To me, aianaiya means 'earth mermaid'.
Aia is shortened from the greek word 'Gaia' meaning earth. And Naiya is the greek word for mermaid/water nymph.
I got married in Cyprus 2017 so this is my connection to my love of the Greek language.
