Witchery & Whimsy

I started this shop after I dug out a jewellery making kit I'd had for years. At the time I was feeling bored and under-challenged in my work life. Despite coming from a crafty family I felt that piece of myself had been lost when I moved out.

I practiced with tools, broke many jump rings, chased stray beads under the table and fought the cats for space! Finally I claimed a room free from my cats, organised it (reorganised it and reorganised it again) into a craft room / study.

Lo! The shop burst into existence! I love interacting with my customers as well as other sellers. I am happy to attempt custom pieces when requested. I work hard on my customer service and am pleased that everyone has always been so patient especially as I am (mostly) only able to ship once or twice a week due to work commitments.

My jewellery is mostly Pagan-inspired and mythology-inspired however I have so many charms, for those who don't follow the path I can easily switch out the more "witchy" charms for something different.

My home is pet-friendly and smoke free. While none of my animals are permitted into my craft room where the items are made and packed I do want to make all my buyers / potential buyers aware in case of allergies.

Cat hair especially has a habit of hitching a ride on our clothing so do please take this into consideration if you have allergies.

I have plans to add new lines to the store and see how that goes. I think I will enjoy the next step in this journey.

I am so pleased you are taking a few minutes to read these policies. They are super important and hopefully helpful in making your shopping experience better by giving you details as clear as possible. Please read before buying even if you’ve bought from me before as they may change without notice.
~ ☆ ~ ABOUT HANDMADE ~ ☆ ~
Handmade items especially such things as pottery can often mean that no two items are identical as there will be slight variations.

I use a lot of gemstone beads and chips, these also come with their own variance in shade, patterning especially on Made To Order items.

This allows for awesome uniqueness so do enjoy that.

Returns and exchange details

Please ALWAYS contact me before returning any item. A returns number will be supplied. I will then need you to confirm to me the date you shipped the item back.

ALWAYS include the words RETURNED UK MERCHANDISE on the front of the package so it gets through customs.

Refunds will be given within 14 days of me receiving the goods back or receiving evidence that the item(s) were shipped back to me.

Return shipping cost me is the responsibility of the buyer and this will not be refunded. The original shipping cost of sending the item out will not be refunded. (exception: unless the item was damaged or faulty).

No returns accepted after 14 days from receipt of goods.

Should an item be returned because of non-delivery due to the buyer providing a wrong shipping address; order will be cancelled and a partial refund given for purchase price of items only (no refund on original shipping charges).

All refunds are issued in the same method they were received.

All care and consideration are taken when items are packed. They are all checked before being wrapped securely for dispatch.

However, should your item(s) arrive damaged/faulty, please contact me immediately (no later than 14 days) with photographs of the item's damage and the box/envelope (for claim purposes).

Should I require the item be returned, refunds will only be sent once the item is received. Refunds will include the original item cost, shipping as well as reimbursing you for the cost of returning the item.

Refunds will not be given without photographic proof of the damage & of the box/packaging. Please do not throw any of it away until everything has been resolved.

If you are unhappy with your item or there is a genuine fault please contact me for a solution. Due to the nature of handmade items, these can be very delicate. Refunds or replacement items will not be issued for damage due to rough handling or dropping.

Refunds will only be issued once the items are returned. Please see above regarding Return Policy.

I do not offer refunds for custom orders.

For legal reasons I cannot refund you for any customs or tax charges you receive. These are collected by your country and are the responsibility of the buyer.
Refunds are only given for digital downloads where these have not yet been downloaded or streamed. If the digital download has been downloaded, no refund will be given.

Full details of hardware/software requirements, as well as copyright protection for the digital downloads, will be stated in the individual listing.

Please always check carefully before purchasing any digital downloads to make sure you know the specification and are purchasing the correct one. If you are not sure, please contact me before purchasing.

~ ☆ ~ STOLEN ITEMS ~ ☆ ~
I am not responsible for stolen items that have been marked as delivered by the carrier. It is the buyer’s responsibility to make the necessary arrangements to have items picked up or delivered to a safe location should you decide to go on holiday before the goods are delivered.

I will not be held responsible if an item is delivered and stolen from your front step, porch or mailbox or other common areas of delivery by the carrier.
If you would prefer to exchange the item rather than have a refund, I can accommodate this within the same 14 days (UK / Europe) or 20 days (international).

However, the item must be of the same or less value as the one purchased. If the exchange piece is of less value, the difference will be refunded or a coupon offered for the difference in value. If it is more, the difference must be paid by the buyer before I can send the new item.

If you are not sure what item you want to exchange, I can offer you a store credit coupon for the value of the returning item. Please note a shipping charge will be incurred on the exchanged piece.

Custom orders are non-refundable but if they are damaged on arrival, I will replace them. I will require photos to show the damage before a replacement is sent.

Items are shipped on working days (Monday to Friday).
Need it by a certain time? Let me know before you order to see if I am able to get it out in time. Depending on the urgency, you may need to upgrade to priority shipping.

Please note I cannot guarantee the arrival of your item by a specific date as I cannot control the postal service and unexpected issues and delays can occur. All I can do is guarantee when I get the item posted out.
Any customs charges, taxes & duties are the buyer's responsibility as they are at the discretion of your own country's tax regulations and are collected by your country.

Legally I am not allowed to pay these or refund for them. These charges are NOT included in the shipping price. Always make sure you are aware of any import laws and charges you may incur before ordering.

If you decide not to pay them, your item should be returned to me via the return address I put on all parcels. Please note I will only be able to issue you a refund (for the ITEM price only) once the parcel is back with me. Please understand that this can take a few months.

Customs Forms will always be marked as commercial and include an invoice. It is against the law to mark a bought item as "gift" to avoid paying any charges.

Items are not considered lost until 25 working days have passed (UK) or 8 weeks have passed (International)

Once this length of time has passed if the item has not arrived, I can either refund or replace your item. I will then contact Royal Mail to claim back the loss. Royal Mail may contact you to confirm the order was placed and confirm the delivery address.
~ ☆ ~ PACKAGING ~ ☆ ~
All parcels are checked by me before being well wrapped. All items come from a smoke-free and pet-friendly house. I do tend to use a mix of new materials and recycled/cannibalised packaging. So I may reuse envelopes, boxes and packaging material as long as it is "fit for purpose".

This means the outer packaging can sometimes look a little messy but all due care is taken to ensure the goods arrive safely. If however you only prefer a brand new box/envelope etc please do let me know when you place your order.
~ ☆ ~ ADDRESSES ~ ☆ ~
Items are shipped to the address showing on your Etsy order (not Paypal invoice.) Please always double check your address before ordering.
If I have a query with the address I may contact you, if I do not hear from you by the time it is meant to ship I will send to the address supplied.

Please note if the parcel does not arrive because you failed to supply/check the correct address, I will not offer a refund or replacement.

I do always try and include clear colour photos however colour differences can occur due to different monitor settings. If you have a question about the colour/shade of any product please contact me before you purchase.
~ ☆ ~ HANDMADE ~ ☆ ~
All items in this shop are handmade, please do always take extra care with handmade items as they can be easily damaged if misused or treated roughly.

Don't wear any of the jewellery pieces while bathing, exercising, swimming or sleeping. Put on after using perfume, lotion, makeup (not before)

With pottery, I will state if it is waterproof/dishwasher safe. If you are unsure about anything, please ask.

I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused following misuse or improper handling.
If you require a custom item by a certain day, please send me a conversation in the first instance to check that the item can be made and shipped within the allotted time frame. Chasing me after the fact is a pressure I would rather not have.

Also, once an item has been shipped I no longer have any control over it. In this case, I cannot give any guarantees for when it will arrive. It is always better to order an item from me in good time to allow for unforeseen circumstances in transport.

Before the final custom order is made it will need to be ordered and paid for in full. I do not offer refunds on custom made items. All costs incurred when custom orders are changed will be passed to the buyer.

At this time I do not offer a gift wrapping service.

Always read the item description for all details of the item, this will also state if it is a sample photo.

In such cases of sample photos please be aware your items may look a little different from the photo as each piece will have its own unique markings/shape.

Please note that all my items are made in a smoke-free house (or pottery studio).

For those with allergies please note we are a pet-friendly house with cats.

However, while none of these animals are permitted in the craft room where the items are made (and certainly not permitted to try on any of the merchandise!) the odd cat hair can cling to me and be taken into the craft room.

I purchase nickel and lead-free listed supplies, however, I cannot guarantee a non-reaction. If you are unsure I can also supply some items with stainless steel or other metals.

All my items are designed for use by adults. They are not intended for children under the age of 16.

Many are made with small parts that can constitute a choking hazard. Please exercise all responsible caution when using them.

I would like a custom order

I am happy to work with you in order to create a more customised piece that suits your needs.

Feel free to drop me a convo message on Etsy regarding what you are looking for and I will do what I can to assist. :)

Shipping details

Items are shipped:

UK - sent 2nd class Standard (takes roughly 3-5 working days)

International - Standard international (takes roughly 10-15 working days)

In the rare event that your item does not show up within the above times, please be patient. An item is not considered lost by the postal service until 8 weeks.

Date needed by: If you need an item by a certain date, please inform me early so we can discuss options.

Marked as gift: This is for gift receipts. Please note if you are outside the UK, I must, by law, include a customs form with the item amount listed on the outside of the package and an invoice taped to the front. So cannot fulfill this request.

Customs: I won't mark any item as gift on a customs form, as this is illegal.

Will the jewellery tarnish?

All silver (including sterling silver and silver-plated) reacts to chemicals in the air, that causes tarnishing.

Some things can accelerate tarnishing such as contact with tap water, perfumes, hair sprays, even oils from the skin etc

While tarnishing is a natural process that cannot be prevented, it can be slowed down.

Put your jewellery on after you have applied makeup/perfume rather than before.

Also, make sure you store your jewellery in a way that limits its exposure to air and humidity. Put your silver jewellery items in sealed bags that close tightly and keep out of direct sunlight when not wearing them.

Avoid contact with water, do not wear jewellery in shower, bath, or while swimming.

Take care when putting on or taking off.

Pottery: Can I get a custom pottery piece?

Unfortunately, I am no longer attending a pottery studio so will not be making any further pottery pieces in the near future.

All pottery pieces listed are the remaining pieces I have.

Once I am able to restart visiting a pottery studio, I will take custom pottery orders. When that happens I will amend this answer to confirm but until then, I cannot make custom pottery pieces.


If you are not satisfied for whatever reason in accordance with the EU Distance-selling law you must contact me within 14 days of receipt.

You must contact me before returning the item as a returns number will be supplied. Items must be returned within 10 days of issuing the returns number.

ALWAYS include "RETURNED UK MERCHANDISE" on the front of package so it clears customs. Once I have received the item back I will issue a refund (less shipping costs).

Cost of return postage is covered by buyer & not refunded

Refunds will be give within 14 days of me receiving goods back or receiving evidence that the item(s) were shipped back.

Item must be returned undamaged & in original packaging if possible along with any free gift if supplied.

Damaged in transit

If you receive your item damaged, please take a photograph of the damage and of the packaging immediately and send them to me.

Please keep all packaging until I confirm this can be discarded (it may be necessary when making a claim.)

I can then send you either a replacement item (if applicable) or a refund (incl. shipping). You would need to confirm which you require.

If I don't hear from you after 5 days, I will just send a refund.

Refunds: Non-Refundable items

Please note the following items are non-refundable:

* Custom orders
* Stud-earrings
* Downloadable items

Fishhook earrings can be exchanged as the earwires can be replaced.

Marked as Gift

To mark an item as gift means you do not want an invoice included.

However for my international orders, I legally have to include an invoice on the front of the packet and also list the item cost on the customs forms.
