This bag is amazing! Knowing what it's been through, I'm not afraid to use it for anything. If it gets rained on? not a big deal.. Oh, I made you laugh and you spit smoothie all over my bag? No biggie, I'll just wipe it right off. My laptop fits in it perfectly too, which is a super duper bonus. Thanks for the bag Boots!!!

Great quality product! Super fast shipping! Exactly as described. The sleeve is a bit snug for my iphone 4s but works well and looks great! Excellent seller! Would definitely recommend them and their products!

Wonderfully made, perfect fit, & just enough padding without too much bulk - exactly what I wanted. nNot sure it gets any better!

Sails getting a second life on shore, as bags and more!

I started sailing a few summers back when my beau brought me along to a Sunday club race as rail meat. Flying along the waves silently - what could be more fun! As I got to know more of the sailing community on the Hudson River, I found folks who were tossing their worn out sails. As an avid crafter and seamstress all my life, I thought they still had some life left in their wrinkled and torn forms. I rescued a few from a landfill fate and turned them into my very first tote bags.

What a long way the design (and my sailing) has come since then! Boots Bradley bags and cases are simple, sturdy and stylish. And they give a fitting retirement to hard working sails. I also have my very own boat now - a 19' Lightning. She's a centerboard dinghy with a lot of sail area!

I'm so glad I could combine two of my passions to help reduce waste on the earth and bring something functional into new people's lives.

Some people call me "Boots" 'cause you'll often find me in 'em. Born and raised in Texas, transplanted to the Hudson Valley. What a beautiful and inspiring place to work! I love sailing on the Hudson River and making things by hand.

Sailing around the Hudson Valley, I saw some boat owners tossing their worn out, ripped up sails into the garbage. Why add that to the landfill when you can give it a second life? Sailcloth is extremely strong and durable, which makes it excellent fabric for a sturdy bag.

All my items are made from sails destined to be garbage. Though they are thoroughly cleaned, the fabric is not brand new and will often have neat details like stitching from the original sail or marks from use in its previous life. Thread is always new, high quality, extra strength synthetic thread meant for sailcloth. Handles come in a variety of forms from sailcloth, to new nylon webbing, and line used for sailing.
