Announcement    Welcome to byhandbyjean...a shop of hand knit Socks and Mitts and patterns. All of my items are completely hand knitted using "sticks and strings" and the majority are designed by me with that occasional pattern from a fellow designer I just love!

The materials I use are the foundation of a long lasting pair of socks or mitts. I take great pride in the yarns I use for my socks and mitts as I always describe the yarns and the manufacturer was well as send a sample of the yarn and label with your order. Nothing gives me more joy than knitting new designs and developing patterns and of course... sharing them with you. I knit with Merino Wool and Nylon blend with the occasional Cashmere blend, Alpaca and Cotton blends.

Contact me if you want anything custom (found a pattern or a yarn you like, a different size you need ...or a sock I have knitted in the past) or have any ideas for a special item you want to have hand knitted. Comments and feedback are always welcome and would enjoy hearing from you.
