Welcome to my shop!
I fell in love with a piece of decorative art in a magazine, researched, bought the supplies and taught myself to paint. That's how it began many years ago!
I live in the North East of Scotland and still enjoy creating personalised heirloom items such as keepsake boxes, name plaques, childrens toyboxes and painted furniture, garden décor, gifts for occasions etc just as i started out 25 years ago. I still welcome commissions for such items but in recent years I have concentrated on the more detailed painting style that I love and now the bulk of my work is my wildlife and animal fine art and pet portraits, whisky barrel art and small unique hand painted gifts. I am passionate about the natural world and it is the magnificence of all creatures that gives me my inspiration to paint in a fine art style whilst still maintaining that decorative twist! I welcome commissions for wildlife and pet portrait art, whisky barrel staves and lids, personalised gifts and signs and will consider any ideas you may have for a one off piece!! I am also founder of the Huntly & District Swift Group addressing the decline in Common Swift numbers across the Nth East of Scotland so you will find LOTS of swift related items here too!
