Sustainable Fashion for people who know we need to look after our planet.

Daines Atelier is a Sustainable Circular Fashion Brand At the Silk Mill Studios, Frome, Somerset in England.

They create handmade One-off upcycled garments, saving and reclaiming remnants and dead stock materials. Subculture inspired design for the conscious consumer.

“So…I’m a little obsessed. I’ve promised myself to support and follow small businesses where I can, and I could not resist a Daines Atelier Batwing Jumper that I was staring at for a long time before hitting the purchase button. And oh boy. This jumper is brilliant! So comfy and Daines Atelier have been wonderful throughout. This is why I shop locally with small businesses. Lovely contact, fast delivery, cute packaging and a handmade item that feels special. What more could a customer wish for?”

What we Stand for:

Sustainability, Slow Fashion, Self Love, Circular Fashion and Craftsmanship.

Transparency with being an ethical fashion brand. All materials sourced locally, all vintage or deadstock. Everything is handmade at our studio. Upcycling materials and committing to being a circular fashion brand.

Not trend driven. Designing for personality and your own authenticity. Something which will last a lifetime. Promoting positivity and self love. Made with size inclusion in mind.Including, A variety of sizes from XS-XL.

Not advocating mass production- one off or limited quantity product. Focusing on the quality of a garment to ensure its longevity. As a result, Craftsmanship is at the core of Daines Atelier, using traditional tailoring and dressmaking techniques. Everything is a beautiful handmade item.

What do we do?

Garments made from upcycled materials. Committing to being zero waste with panelling. Some of our garments are unisex, because we create an oversized fit and want to be inclusive to a variety of different body types.

We are working to expand our size ranges and new silhouettes. We design our garments around the materials we source, rather than the other way round, so you will always see something different.

How we got here:

Starting off as an alteration and bespoke commission specialists, Daines Atelier evolved after founder Evie Daines couldn’t resist creating her own clothes from her fabric stash. So, After producing a few pieces, Daines Atelier evolved into a clothing brand focused on being circular.

Their first appearance took place at the Frome Independent in Somerset. As a result, they have been at the monthly ever since. However, when lockdown dawned upon the world it was time to take the brand online. Selling on Etsy, Depop and their own Website.

Instagram has been a great platform for showcasing our process, knowledge on sustainability and the details in our garments. But, Moving from selling face to face to online has been challenging. As a result, You can’t quite see things the same, know how it will fit or feel the quality in the materials.

Introducing professional photography helped to elevate the brand and showcase the garments in their true light. From lifestyle shots, to on models and even videos. Because of this, The garments can now be seen like they’ve never been before.

We are a Slow Fashion Revolution:
