The shoes were lovely and unusual being in felt. Unfortunately they were on the large size for my daughter so we had to send them back. HOWEVER, Claire who made them, was lovely and very understanding - responded very quickly and arranged the refund for me, so I'd happily recommended her.

I love this pendant ❤ one drop of lavender oil on it and I've had a lovely scent all day. And it is a perfect match for the colours requested. It arrived very promptly and well packaged. All in all a great product and great service x

Returns and exchanges
If you receive an item that's not as you expected, for any reason, please contact me and let me know! I'll do my best to make things right.

Unfortunately I cannot offer refunds on items which have been delayed in transit. However I will of course refund any item that does not arrive at all!

Items shipped within the UK are not considered missing until they've been AWOL for 15 working days - that's three weeks. This rises to 20 working days for items posted to Europe, and 25 working days for items sent to the rest of the world.

If an item is delayed, missing or damaged I will need your help to fill in a claim form. This will not affect my refund to you, but will provide the evidence necessary for me to reclaim our costs from Royal Mail.

According to EU DIstance Selling Regulations, you are entitled to a "cooling off" period of 14 days from the time that you receive your parcel. If you have not contacted us after this 14 day period, the sale is considered final.

If you do decide to return your item to us, for any reason, you will receive a full refund. This will include the shipping fees that you paid in the first instance, but NOT the cost of you shipping the item back to us. Please bear this in mind when you make your purchase!
Payment
I accept payment by PayPal only.
You don't need to have a PayPal account in order to shop with me - you can make a payment using your debit or credit card. If you click through as if to pay by PayPal, you'll be taken to a login screen. If you don't have a PayPal account, there should be an option at the bottom of the page to pay by card instead.
Shipping
Where items are in stock, I will endeavour to ship them to you as soon as possible. I have a job outside of Eternal Magpie, so I may not be able to make it to the Post Office every day. But I will let you know when you item has been shipped, so that you know when to expect it.

Items that are made to order will take longer to arrive - after all, I have to make the item before I can send it to you! Each listing gives a guideline as to how long that item should take, and once again I will let you know when you item has been shipped, so that you know when to expect it.

Please note that I am not responsible for any customs fees you may be required to pay once your parcel enters your country from the UK! As an online buyer, it is your responsibility to make yourself aware of any additional costs of purchasing an item from another country. Your government or postal service website should be able to provide this information.
Additional policies and FAQs
Every item you see in the Eternal Magpie Etsy shop has been created by hand, by me. I sell only from this Etsy store, and the occasional local craft stall.

I can offer wholesale terms on some styles of the aromatherapy diffuser pendants. If you'd like to stock them in your salon, therapy centre or shop, get in touch, and I can send you some more information.

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about my felt shoes:

**Can you really wear them outdoors?**
Yes! Absolutely! I designed them specifically for that purpose. I wanted a pair of shoes that would be as soft and comfortable as slippers, but still be suitable for walking to the shops or trampling about in the garden. These are those shoes.

Think of them as you would a pair of canvas pumps. Any time you'd be happy to wear your baseball boots, you could just as easily wear these.

**What if they get wet?**
Wool is naturally waterproof, to a certain extent. (Sheep go out in the rain after all!) So these shoes will happily survive a light rain shower, a splash from a puddle, or a bit of a spill. One pair have survived a beach wedding in St Lucia, where they were completely soaked through in a monsoon!

If they get absolutely soaked through, they could lose their shape a little. If that happens, stuff them with newspaper (not enough to stretch them) and allow your shoes to dry naturally. Don't put them on a radiator, or blast them with a hairdryer, as the intense heat could cause them to shrink, or damage the soles.

If you're really worried about it, you can always give them a quick squirt of waterproofing spray. Make sure you test the spray in an inconspicuous place though, as it can darken the colour of the felt.

**How do I keep them clean?**
Firstly, do not attempt to clean your shoes if they're wet! Allow them to dry out naturally (see above), and then you should be able to lightly brush off any mud particles or other grubby bits. You can use a soft brush, or a rough cloth like an old towel. A lint roller, or some sticky tape, is also good for removing surface bits and bobs.

If your shoes have a stain, you can very carefully scoop up some soap bubbles (washing up liquid or shampoo are both good) with a damp sponge, and lightly dab the surface. Try not to soak through the felt, you only need to dampen the top surface. Don't scrub too hard, or you could make the felt go a bit bobbly. (Although if this does happen, you can carefully shave off the bobbles with a disposable razor. No, I'm not joking!)

**What if they don't fit?**
These shoes should start out a little bit tighter than a similar-sized pair that you might buy on the high street. When you first try on your shoes they should be a little bit snug, particularly in the toe area. They have a nice thick felt insole that will gradually mould to the shape of your feet as you wear them.

The inner soles are flat, and do not include arch support. If you wear orthotics, please let me know. I can substitute a thinner insole, or make a slightly larger size if necessary.

If you're not sure which size to order, you can measure your feet and send me the measurements of the longest and widest parts, or you can get a friend to draw around your feet and then send me the drawings. I don't make bespoke shoes to your exact measurements, but I will be able to choose the size that I think will be best for you, based on the information you've given to me.

If they really don't fit, you can send them back to me for either a full refund, or a replacement pair in a different size. (As long as you haven't been jumping in and out of muddy puddles in them, of course!) You will need to pay the cost of postage to return the shoes to me, but I won't charge you for the cost of sending out the second pair.

If you're choosing these shoes for a special occasion such as a wedding (thank you!), I'd recommend ordering at least three months in advance, so that there are no worries about a second pair reaching you in plenty of time.

**My feet are two different sizes. Can you make shoes for me?**
Yes! I make each pair individually, in your choice of colours, and there's no reason at all that the two shoes that I make for you have to be the same size!

**Why European sizes?**
I make my shoes on lasts (plastic or wooden shoe-shapes) which are made in Italy. I chose this particular style because they were available in a continuous size run from EU 34 all the way up to EU 45, as I know that shoes in smaller and larger sizes are often difficult to find, and sometimes made on lasts which are proportioned for children or men. I wasn't able to find the same range in UK sizes, so European sizes it is!

**What are they made from?**
The uppers and insoles are made from 3mm thick compressed wool felt. This makes them nice and strong, but also soft enough to mould to the shape of your feet. They should feel as comfortable as slippers from the moment you put them on – no blisters here!

The mysterious internal layers are made from cork. This includes a 4mm "midsole" layer, and a 5mm hidden wedge. This means that the shoes are not completely flat, even though they have no separate heel on the bottom. The cork midsole also provides both strength and cushioning, and will gradually mould to the shape of your feet.

The outer soles are made from 4mm thick rubber, which gives great traction, and makes the shoes sturdy enough to be worn outdoors. They're held in place using a very strong solvent-free glue.

**Are they created by magical elves who break in during the night?**
Nope - it's just me! Thanks to the extremely distressing lack of elves, I have to design the shoes, cut out all of the parts individually by hand, and stitch and glue everything together myself.
