5 out of 5 starsWe adore our unique, funky, glorious and practical side table. The colours are bright and bold 'kissed by fire'. We lurve the top resin plate, we are going to adapt this and have it as wall art in our living, it is too beautful to be covered with a drink and coasters. Alison has a wonderful eye and ab evident skill for uniqueness 🥰.

The Whirlpool Galaxy covers the other side of my kitchen. This is a real Hubble Space Telescope image.

The Carina Nebula covers one side of my kitchen. This NASA photo is incredibly detailed and very colourful.

Showing part of the process of making my kitchen. The wallpaper was cut up and glued on to make one continuous image.

The cupboard bases need to be protected from the resin when the countertops are poured. Resin doesn't stick to polythene

For a bit of fun I added UV and glow-in-the-dark pigments. This is the Whirlpool lit with a black light
Resin tables, with an eco-twist; geode and astronomy designs.
My little dog, Pip, is the inspiration for my brand name Fuzzy Comma, due to her curled up sleeping position. Pip is a little Jack-Russell cross who we rescued through the Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary.
I started learning about resin when I refurbished my kitchen! I wanted a totally unique and coherent design. This required a very high definition image if it was going to be just one photo. I have always been very interested in astronomy (I'm on the committee of the Bristol Astronomical Society!) so I chose the Carina Nebula for one side and the Whirlpool Galaxy on the other. I coated the images stuck to the worksurfaces and cupboard doors with countertop resin. (If you are based in the UK and are interested in a unique kitchen please get in touch!) This was the start of my resin bug!
Having learned how to manipulate resin, my daughter pointed me towards Mrs Colorberry and her geode tables - go and look her up - her artwork is amazing. She said "You could do that Mum! Would you make me a table?"
So, I tried and I tried and I refined my techniques learning all the time. Freeform geodes and artwork mounted on glass or acrylic (perspex) sheets. I believe I have succeeded in creating some interesting pieces. Long story short - my daughter got her table and I got a new art business!
One of my favourite pieces is a totally personal work - the Saturn table pictured in one of my listings was made for a great friend. Her daughter and husband asked for something unique for her 50th birthday. So I did some research and the angle of the rings and the positions of all the moons are as they were on the day my friend was born. The rings actually go behind Saturn, on the back of the glass, and the design has multiple layers of resin on both the front and back faces of the glass support. It's also big! Over a meter in diameter. It uses acrylic and alcohol inks as well as UV and glow-in-the-dark pigments, real-metal glitter and mica dust gives lustre and iridescence.
I am constantly learning and I practise new techniques all the time. I have branched out into putting my geode, fluid-art and astronomy designs onto some clothing, but the resin tables are where my heart is.
I do take commissions. If you would like a table (or kitchen) of your own design, I am very happy to discuss your requirements/ideas/wishes with you - please get in touch; my email is:

My hair in the pic is dyed with Toxic UV Crazy Color hair dye. It's not a special effect - my hair really glows in black-light! We decided to decorate our hall and stairs. My husband asked me what colour paint he should buy - I replied "all of them"
