Embroidery and Sewing kits - for the joy of making.

Hi, I'm Martha. Following a degree in Embroidery, years of experience sourcing shoes for the high street and a wild ride running my own fair trade handbag label, I settled down with the brilliant Mr. M and before we knew it, two little boys had arrived.

Since then, inspired by my kids and their friends, my busy fingers have been creating crafts, patterns and textiles that children will love. I created Gidsy and Jo to

Round here we play in a world of creativity and imagination. That’s why I want to bring you unique, colourful designs and easy to follow instructions to create something that will open up a world of imagination for your little ones, made with love by you and not to be found anywhere else.

Everything I design is done from my home studio in a village in the rural Midlands, UK and printed by our pal Evan as part of his own independent business. When you buy from Gidsy and Jo you’re supporting our family, Evan’s family and a family worldwide as we give away 20% of all our profits to help mums start small businesses and children into adopted families both here and abroad.

Learning how to sew is fun…but learning enough skills to design and make whatever you like is even better. We believe in the good, honest, old fashioned way of hand making, because few things in life are more satisfying than completing a project you made yourself, then seeing the delight as you pass it on to someone else to love and own. That’s what our kits are all about. It’s more than sewing – it’s making treasure and memories for years to come.

I truly hope that if you've got creativity buzzing and tingling in your fingertips, you'll find something here to get you started on your next, new, amazing project! Follow along with all our latest kits, sewing tips and news at www.gidsyandjo.co.uk.
