I liked the design of the card a lot, but was very disappointed to finally receive it in the mail about a month and a half after placing the order, was not given a refund as I did not receive it by vday, and had to give a crappy black and white self printed version of it to my boyfriend. That was definitely disappointing.
Personalised gifts for a one-of-a-kind experience
I'm Heidi, a British-Finnish freelance illustrator living in Cambridge, UK. I gained a BA (Hons) in Illustration at Kent Institute of Art & Design in 2007 and opened my Etsy shop shortly after. I used to work for Etsy as their UK Social Media & Blog Coordinator, and now I'm a Small Business Development Consultant at Digibloom.co, so I help small businesses (such as those selling on Etsy!) to start up.
I work using both digital & traditional methods of illustration, producing original art, altered journals, greeting card designs, book/magazine illustrations, custom gifts & hand-painted ceramics.
I welcome enquiries via 'convo' message if you're interested in a custom/personalised piece as I love working with customers to create something very special!
What makes me tick, and what makes me tock:
Drawing, found objects, hand drawn typography, eavesdropping, cartography, riding on trains in the rain, astronomy, festivals, folktales, Victorian literature, old Penguin book covers, Haiku writing.
Mint chocolate, burglars, things that reduce in size while increasing in price, ugly fonts, pigeons, public speaking, eating meat, not having tea.
My work has been featured in the lovely books "I Love Stationery" by Charlotte Rivers, & "1000 Handmade Greetings" by McFadden & Baskin. Also I've been featured on The Guardian website, in Guardian Observer newspaper, and the magazines Stylist, Easy Living, UK Handmade, Agenda, Mankind, and Underground Art School.
I've exhibited in London and Tokyo for Moleskine, and various other shows around the UK and USA.

Please send me a message if you wish to request a custom/personalised piece. I enjoy making these, and working with you to create something special!
Gift wrapping and packaging
If your purchase is being sent as a gift directly to your recipient, why not have it gift wrapped with a personal note - see my gift wrap add-on listing for more info: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/493132425/gift-wrapping-service-add-on-have-your
When will my item be posted?
I pack and post items as soon as possible, and aim to post within 5 business days maximum - usually within 1-3 business days. All orders are posted First Class (domestic) or International Standard (airmail worldwide) with Royal Mail.
If you have an urgent order request, please contact me prior to placing the order to check I am able to fulfil it to your requirements.
Please message me if you would like your order to be tracked at extra cost.
Please ensure you use the correct address prior to checkout. I often pack orders as soon as they come in & affix postage stamps, so a change of address can cause issues. Sometimes a little too efficient for my own good!
Shipping prices and partial shipping refunds
Shipping prices include packing & processing. If you're ordering 2 different kinds of items e.g. an egg cup and an art print, these may need to be posted separately due to size and packaging format. If you end up paying over £1 more than actual postage, I will refund the difference to the account you paid with.
When can I expect to receive my order?
Please order in advance if requiring something by a specific date. Royal Mail states delivery to Europe takes 3 to 5 business days & delivery to the rest of the world takes 5 to 7 business days.
From experience they can actually take around 5 - 14 business days to international destinations, plus the time it takes me to prepare/post your order. Please allow 1 month or more for orders to Canada.
Unfortunately I cannot guarantee your order will reach you by a specific date, as once posted - it's down to the mail carrier. Royal Mail lists international incidents here that may affect delivery: https://business.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5317/~/international-incidents-update#USA
