Colourful contemporary Enamel Jewellery to brighten your day

I have always had a very 'visual' eye for life which I think initially came from my grandpa's passion for photography, back when cameras were not so 'mainstream'.

Artistic subjects were by far my favourite at school and in 2002 friends encouraged me to start selling my nature photography at craft fairs.

A few years later after attending regular workshops for various different crafts and activities, and loving every craft :P , I decided 'enamelling is my thing'.
I love how experimental enamelling is, almost every time I use the kiln I don't quite know how some pieces will turn out!

Since then I have self taught, regularly experimenting with new colours, shapes and designs. I like to use bold geometric shapes and would describe my makes as bright and colourful wearable jewellery.

I love to receive commissions so if you have an idea for a shape, colour, pattern or design do drop me a message. Almost anything is possible ;)

I have a kiln, a small workshop in Somerset and everything I need to experiment with new ideas and to create the items you see in my shop today. I also have 3 young children which don't always allow as much time for making as I would like, however it's great that Etsy makes it possible for me to run a business around having a young family.

Do contact me if you would like a custom made piece and Thank you for your support • Rachel •

Additional policies and FAQs
If you order a custom make I will message you to discuss your order and may need to send you further messages with images or questions throughout the design and make process. A prompt response is appreciated as this ensures the piece will be completed as soon as possible. I will not go ahead with a custom make until I am completely satisfied that I am clear of your requirements.

Enamel begins as glass powder or liquid and some enamels may contain traces of lead. Once I have melted the enamel in the kiln it is no longer harmful but pieces should be kept away from animals or small children to avoid risk of choking.

If you are satisfied with your purchase a shop REVIEW upon receipt of your item/s is very much appreciated :)

Frequently asked questions
Can you make this in other colours?

Any of the pieces you see can be made in any of the enamel colours that I use. Just message me for a custom make

What is enamel?

Enamel is glass. It comes in powder or liquid forms and can be applied to various metals then fired in a kiln so that the glass melts. As it cools the vibrant colour is revealed.
Because enamel is glass there is a risk of it shattering if a piece is forced to bend or dropped onto a hard surface however this is very unlikely to happen

What chain length should I go for?

I am a dress size 8-10, have a slim neck and like to wear necklaces high so a 15"- 17" chain suits me.

A 17" - 19" chain is a standard length and should fit most people.

A 20 - 22" chain would suit someone with a larger neck or someone that likes to wear necklaces hanging low i.e. over a shirt.

All chain lengths include the length of the enamel piece

Necklace length guides can be found by typing your question into a search engine

Can I clean the exposed copper?

Some pieces have exposed copper areas which are not enameled on. The exposed copper will tarnish over time due to greasy fingers etc.

There are many good copper polishes on the market, or home made copper polish solutions you can use, to gently rub over the copper and return it to it's full shine.

Do not use hard chemicals or abrasive cloths/ files on the copper or enamel

Do you offer discounts if I buy in bulk?

Yep, if purchasing more than 2 items just pop me a message and we can discuss discounts, payment plans or wholesale prices
