Announcement   Jacqui Dodds is a Painter / Printmaker inspired by memories of places visited and objects within them.

My prints are all hand printed in limited editions, numbered and signed by me, they are original prints and not reproductions.
I also make hand printed cards and stationery which are all my original designs.

My practice revolves around memories of places visited and the objects within them. Images and feelings of these spaces are then then retraced and relived to create an essence in print and painting.

In the autumn of 2016 I exhibited 'Reveal, Conceal' at BPN Architects in Birmingham and produced a series of six new screen prints that are inspired by the area around the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham.

Some of my artwork is exhibited in museums and heritage venues, at present I have prints in Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, Shropshire and have been part of a touring exhibition of a ‘Cabinet of Curiosity’ partly funded by Arts Council England. I have also been involved in art projects including Wightwick Manor for the National Trust and Enter Arts culminating in an exhibition in the house and garden.

Alongside this I deliver print workshops and have created a range of stationery and textiles from my own designs, some of which has reflected the spaces in which I have been researching.

I live in Shropshire and print at Birmingham Printmakers. In 2014 I was a finalist in the neo:Print Prize, and the Nottingham Castle Open exhibition Prize.

I have a BA (Hons) in Fine Art - specialising in painting and printmaking

About

Original limited edition prints, stationery and textiles

Inspiration for my work comes from sense of place, visiting, drawing, taking photos and then carefully turning them into original limited edition prints. These are either screenprinted by hand or made from carved lino blocks and all are printed onto top quality printmaking paper.

I have also created a ranged of hand printed cards, notebooks and printed textiles. These compliment my original limited edition prints in that they are all hand drawn and hand printed by me in the studio.

You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
