About

To spend time doing what I love is a real blessing

I have always had a huge space in my heart for all things creative…painting, working with different media, trying out new techniques and learning from others and taking inspiration from what I see and experience around me.

I started making jewellery nearly 10 years ago when pregnant with my second child and whilst taking time out from teaching. I made it for myself, for friends and family, and eventually to sell. My style has evolved and changed constantly over the years depending on what I see around me and new techniques I am learning. This has kept customers coming back to see what new things I have, and keeps me interested and my designs exciting. I have tried all sorts…wire wrapping, beading, metal work, fabric, to name but a few. Maybe I just get bored easily, or maybe my brain is always on the look out to learn new skills (or maybe a bit of both). I have a strong faith which has always been a source of inspiration to me and this comes out in several in different areas of my work- pictures, cards, and more recently in fabric bracelets. For a long time I sold my work through parties and at craft fairs and I still love to do this, meeting customers face to face and watching them try on items that I have spent hours on always leaves me with a big smile on my face, I love people and have gained new ideas from their suggestions and enthusiasm. As my business has grown and expanded into other areas like the cards and wooden hearts and pictures, I have been able to bring my ever patient and supportive husband on board. He is a printer by trade (which has come in very handy!) and is a practical man who cuts out all my wooden hearts and sands them down for me. He is eager that this side of my business is a success as he's desperate to buy a new toy that will cut out a new assortment of shapes!

I have some of my happiest moments in my little studio, my cat beside me purring, our schnoodle dozing at my feet and ideas buzzing around in my head desperate to get out. What better work could I have?

This is my very patient husband, who spends a lot of time bent over his beloved scroll saw creating the wooden hearts and houses we sell. But I do bring him coffee and biscuits every so often.

This is my beautiful model, used to show how my jewellery looks in 'real life' , and who is as lovely on the inside as she looks on the outside!
