Announcement    MASSIVE REDUCTIONS across the store! Don't miss out...

Such an eclectic collection of interesting old pieces - examples of how we used to live... some beautiful, some fascinating, some just ancient - all available here for the choosy buyer!

Alternatively - make me an offer! There are always 'new' old items to find on Keepsies, and if the price is a bit beyond you, I have many options for easing the burden (see below!) - and I am always willing to consider sensible offers!

And if there's something you'd really like but can't quite afford - it's always worth asking me if I'm able to 'adjust' the price a little! Not always possible, but if you don't ask, you won't know! Take a look through and see what you can pick up - bargains to be had!

ABOUT KEEPSIES
Take a look at Keepsies feature 'About...' - just scroll down the main page - and see some images of the sorts of things that inspire my collectaholics taste! I love colour, I love pattern, I love good design, and I love objects which have some history...

EASY PAYMENT OPTIONS:
1. LAY-AWAY PLAN - Keepsies has introduced a Lay-away Plan for helping with purchasing those pricier items - if your shopping cart totals £50 or over (before postage and after discounts) you are eligible.

2. SPLIT PAYMENTS for smaller amounts are also an option... I am always happy to discuss splitting payments (item costs & postage included) into 2 or 3 to help ease the blow to the purse! Please convo me for details, or look in my Shop Policies.

If its still around after 50, 100, 150 years, someone, somewhere, must have decided its a 'keepsie'... and you'll find them here...

Quirky, collectable, kitsch or just curious - individual items from an age that's gone but not forgotten....

Treasure-hunting Cornish granny...

Shop members

  • Sue Ellery-Hill

    Owner, Curator

Cornish, quirky, collectaholic of all things ancient, odd and interesting... a granny enjoying growing old disgracefully and indulging my passion for antiques old, middle-aged and young...

  • Chris Ellery-Hill

    General Factotum

My husband, Chris. has encouraged me from the beginning, and now that I am less physically able, and he is officially 'retired', he's stepped in to handle all the postage and packing tasks, management of the stock and many other annoying jobs.

Payment

PAYPAL IS PREFERRED for speed and convenience. Paypal is easy to sign up for, and secure.
Payment can be made securely, quickly and easily via PayPal, or by most credit cards, at the checkout stage.
For UK buyers, a postal order or cheque is also an option, sent by post, made out to me: Sue Ellery-Hill. Purchases are sent once the payment has cleared.

Delivery

I always try and post items as soon as possible after payment, usually within 1-2 days, but sometimes longer depending on circumstances.

UK shipments are always sent by Registered Signed For post: parcels are normally sent by Hermes, and tracking numbers are provided.

PLEASE NOTE: Shipments abroad (i.e. anywhere other than the UK), are shipped by standard Air Mail: if you require Tracking or Signed For International shipping please convo me for an amended shipping price - it usually adds about £5 to the postage charge, but this will only provide compensation in the event of the parcel being lost, as there is no compensation cover available for damage during shipment to antiques, glass and ceramics sent abroad.

However, please don't be alarmed - I have been selling and shipping fragile and antique items abroad for over 15 years now, and always take immense trouble with the packing to ensure the items arrive at their destination safely!

Reducing, reusing and recycling is important to us, so recycled shipping supplies are used when available. This can include pre-used padded envelopes, bubble wrap, foam chips, boxes, etc; I also buy in new packaging materials, and always ensure I have wrapped your item as safely as possible.

Additional policies and FAQs

I offer a Layaway Plan for the pricier items to help with purchasing. Any one OR MORE items TOTALLING £50.00 or more can be purchased by Layaway... so you can pile up the cheaper items to make it up to £50...

If the total in your shopping trolley, BEFORE postage costs and AFTER discount codes applied, totals £50 or more... you can choose to pay for your purchase in easy instalments.

20% of the purchase total is due at the time of check-out - this will be held as a non-refundable deposit. The balance will then be split into 4 easy payments, due every 2 weeks from the date of purchase. Once your invoice is paid in full, your purchase will be shipped to you.

A warning, though - if you default on the payments or decide against the items, the 20% deposit will be forfeit but any additional money paid will be refunded to you.

ALSO:
Do you have a particular item you are trying to find? Let me know! I just might have the very thing you need hanging around on my shelves.
