I’m an avid knitter of characters that I’m passionate about. Small, simple projects that even my teenage daughters can create. I can often be found outside or in the garden recreating scenes from books or shows with my dolls, which I then share on my Facebook page. Each figure I knit has its own character - they all get up to mischief in our house!

Kwerky Knits was born when I decided to knit favourite characters, mini people with personalities of their own. Friends and family started requesting them for birthdays and Christmas, so I began writing patterns and devising ways of sharing my creations. I even started knitting family members!

I live in a large village in Suffolk near Bury St Edmunds, in a house filled with music and merriment. All four of us, my husband, two daughters and myself, are musical and play ten instruments between us. I am personally also a huge fan of historical fiction and costume dramas, both of which inspire my knitting. When I’m not teaching piano or woodwind, I’ll be knitting a regency tailcoat or designing a tricorn hat or scythe!

All the patterns and figures I sell on Etsy are designed and created by me. My two greatest fans are my teenage daughters who also test my projects and patterns. My husband is still waiting for me to create him a knitted Mozart!
