Where did longdogcraft begin? Find out here:

Long Dog Craft (LDC) takes the best of the past and brings it to life in the present by creating playful, original and contemporary designs that have an eco-centric heart and an accessible price point.

Using a cornucopia of beautiful materials, many of which had a different function in their previous incarnation, designer Clarey M handcrafts unique pieces that are at once quirky, wearable and distinctive.

With craftsmanship, attention to detail, strong personality and a decisive nod to sustainability, LDC reinvents and re-imagines many of the materials it uses, such as upholstery suede and vintage beads, to give them a second chance at taking centre stage and looking spectacular.

Drawing inspiration from the intricate shapes and patterns we see all around us, in nature and the outdoor world, LDC incorporates many recurring motifs, including leaves and raindrops, to bring style-conscious customers eye-catching visual themes that resonate on many levels.

Effortlessly fusing earthy tones and the occasional pop of bright colour, LDC jewellery has a fluid and intriguing aesthetic that stays true to its design ethos of daring to dream, taking chances on new ideas, embracing unexpected directions and freeing yourself from rules and conventions.

Freedom. Transformation. Reinvention. LDC's ethos of finding beauty and perfection in unexpected places is one that speaks to us all.

LDC: New beginnings crafted with care.

Long Dog Craft (LDC) is the brainchild of contemporary jewellery designer Clarey M, who in January 2020 decided to quit the corporate rat race and turn her back on the drudgery of the nine-to-five routine.

Instead, she made it her mission to follow her dream of forging her own path doing what she loves best: combining old and new to harness the power of re-imagining, reinventing, transforming and combining materials to create beautiful things.

Being passionate about the environment and sustainability, as well as the power of second chances and putting unusual or unexpected materials in the limelight, Clarey M produces unique handcrafted jewellery that's bursting with personality and has a contemporary yet timeless appeal, so can be worn for years to come.

Clarey M lives in Yorkshire with her two Dachshund-cross rescue dogs, Bandit and Pickle, both of whom have an undefeatable spirit and boundless joy for life, in spite of their disabilities and troubled pasts.
She credits her canine muses, as well as husband Ben, with providing daily inspiration to embrace imperfection and be open-minded about the meaning of happiness, achievement and success – mantras that are the guiding force behind LDC.

Clarey M has a BA (Hons) in Art & Design from York St John's University, where she specialised in ceramics.
