He estado jugando con vidrio caliente durante muchos años, e incluso después de ese tiempo siento que apenas he arañado la superficie. ¡Las posibilidades del vidrio son ilimitadas! No siento que nunca me cansaré de explorar este fascinante medio.

Como ex costurera, pasé varios años aprendiendo a digitalizar diseños de bordado y a hacer bordado a máquina. Un día vi un programa de televisión donde una mujer estaba haciendo cuentas de vidrio con una antorcha y pensé: "¡Puedo hacer eso!". Compré una linterna, vidrio y herramientas, y nunca miré hacia atrás.

Después de haber pasado 8 años como maestra y bibliotecaria escolar en St. Louis mientras terminaba mi Maestría en Biblioteconomía, actualmente estoy empleada como bibliotecaria móvil y vivo con mi esposo en un pequeño pueblo rural cerca de Billings, Montana.

También me gusta hilar y teñir lana, leer, coser y jardinería, además de teñir corbatas, platería, esmaltado, envolver alambre y hacer cota de malla, kumihimo, punto vikingo y arcilla metálica, entre otras artes.

I have been playing with hot glass for many years now, and even after that time I feel I have barely scratched the surface. The possibilities of glass are limitless! I don't feel that I will ever tire of exploring this fascinating medium.

A former seamstress, I spent several years learning how to digitize embroidery designs and doing machine embroidery. One day I saw a TV show where a woman was making glass beads with a hothead torch and thought, "I can do that!". I bought a torch, glass and tools, and never looked back.

Having spent 8 years as a teacher and school librarian in St. Louis while I finished my Master's in Library Science, I am currently employed as a Bookmobile Librarian and live with my husband in a tiny rural town near Billings, Montana.

I also enjoy spinning and dyeing wool, reading, sewing and gardening, in addition to tie-dyeing, silversmithing, enameling, wire-wrapping and making chainmaille, kumihimo, Viking knit, and metal clay, among others arts.
