Announcement Hello! Welcome to MintBee. Please feel free to come in and have a look around. All my yarn is dyed in small batches on the stove-top in our family home. This means lots of one-of-a-kinds and unrepeatable colourways. I specialise in luxury bases packed with silk, cashmere or alpaca. Sorry you can't squish online, but give me a shout if you have any questions.

About MintBeeYarn
ABOUT MINTBEE
Hello – I’m Marie. I have been playing with dye for a few years. I love colour and experimenting with techniques and combinations, and MintBee was a natural progression – born out of a desire to use more special yarns in my own projects. My own yarn collection is a sea of blues and soft greys, with a bit of plum and gold, but I often couldn't find the colours I wanted on the fancy bases. I particularly like yarns with silk and cashmere content for special one-skein projects like shawls or other small accessories – after all, with all the love that goes into making them you want to be able to enjoy wearing them afterwards!
I hope you will find something you love in my shop. Please do show me what you make – you can find me as MintBeeYarn on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Ravelry.
YARN BASES
As an independent hand-dyer, I aim to offer luxurious yarns coloured in small batches at my home in Hertfordshire. At any given time I aim to offer a selection of the following luxurious bases. Because wool is lovely, but things that smoosh and glimmer with cashmere, alpaca, camel or silk are lovelier...
All the bases are loaded in the Ravelry database so you can add your purchases straight to stash.

DISCLAIMERS
MintBee yarns are created with professional acid dyes in a smoke- and pet-free home. I work in small batches, and whilst some colourways are repeatable, there may be unique differences from skein to skein and batch to batch due to the nature of the hand-dye process. If you need to use more than one skein of a particular colourway for a single project I suggest that you alternate rows.
In the final step of the dyeing process my yarns are gently washed in SOAK and left to line dry. Once dry they are kept here in airtight bags scented with lavender from my garden and a blend of essential oils to keep them clean and free from textile pests.
I endeavour to rinse all dye residue out but some very strong colours may run slightly when you first wash them. This is standard for hand-dyed yarns. MintBee cannot be held liable for any colour bleed. If there is a significant problem, please get in touch.
Unless otherwise stated, all yarns are hand wash only.
