Scale and size of items
Please read the listing details for an indication of the scale of the item. All pictures are taken with a macro setting, so images will appear larger than they are (so you can see detail properly). I try to include familiar objects so you can get a sense of scale! If you have any questions about the size of an item please send me a message.
Care instructions for silver
Even though it is made of metal, silver jewellery can be fragile and needs to be taken care of to get the best out of it.
STERLING SILVER (.925) can take on a black-brown tarnished appearance if left in the open air or unworn for a while, as the outer layer of the silver reacts with the air. This is easily removed with silver polish or a silver buffing cloth. Sterling silver is fairly resilient but everyday wear e.g. of rings can ultimately result in the thinning /warping of the shank, especially if the shank was delicate to start with. This is normal wear.
FINE SILVER (.999) is resistant to tarnish but is softer. To prolong the life of the piece, care should be taken with fine silver elements especially on high-wear pieces such as rings.
Sizing for rings
It is really important to get your ring size right especially for custom pieces. To check your correct ring size, you can use a plastic or printable ring sizer such as this one:
http://www.jewelrycentral.com/ringsizer.html
(NB. American sizing)
You are likely to need to go up one size if the band of the ring is wide (over 5mm)

Returns and replacements
If your item arrives damaged or is faulty please contact me and I will arrange for you to send the faulty piece back at no cost so I can repair or replace it.
I accept returns but unless the item is faulty you will be responsible for the cost of the return postage.
Care of earring studs
Posts on earring studs are work-hardened before I send them out to make them as resilient as possible -but try to avoid bending the posts as over time the silver will become brittle and lots of bending to and fro will cause them to snap.
