Welcome to the Proud Soaps shop!
We are an LGBTQ+ couple originating from Essex and now enjoying life by the sea in sunny Sussex 🌊
All bar soap made by Proud Soaps are handmade from scratch in small batches using gentle ingredients and the traditional cold process method. We avoid single-use plastic and choose recyclable packaging.
What is the cold-process method? Well, in short, it’s where oils and lye (caustic soda) are combined at the right temperature and timing so that saponification occurs- the oils become soap! The blocks of soap are then left to harden before they are cut in to bars and cured for 3-5 weeks. We use olive oil and coconut oil for our staple recipe, which we feel gives the perfect balance of hard and soft oils to produce a long-lasting bar that leaves your skin feeling cleansed and pampered!
We do all of this by hand, with loads of love ❤️
We also make intensely moisturising and nourishing body butters to our own recipe, so do have a peek at the shop if you fancy it.

5 out of 5 starsThis was the first soap I used from my order and after my first use I knew I'd found the perfect soap brand!! the smell was so amazingly pungent while at the same time giving me the cleanest and gentlest wash I've ever had!! this perticular soap made me feel like freshly washed bedsheet flapping in the summer breeze! if you're considering getting this or any other soap here I cannot recommend it highly enough!!

5 out of 5 starsI told myself I'd wouldn't take anymore bites out of bars of soap no matter how delicious they smell, not after how it went last time. but this bar had me seriously questioning myself more than I ever had before!! the crisp, fruity apple side pairs beautifully with the delctibly rich toffee side will get you sneaking a extra cheeky shower before bed just to experience it all again! gorgeous colour swirling for the apple side too!!
