About

The History of Me?

I started off by making things for friends and family, as you do, and during the early 00's most notably taught myself to make corsets and hair accessories and sold those for a while. However, illness and a full time job forced me to close my websites and I shied away from craft for a while. In the past few years I have regrouped, and explored my passions again, and occasionally sell things as the mood takes me.

I have a handful of websites which have been sitting quietly for a year or two, until I felt ready to put time and effort into them, but have decided to move to Etsy instead for the network opportunities and ease of maintenance, as I tend to spend too much time worrying about layout and not enough time focusing on listings on my own sites!

I absolutely adore reptiles and own quite a few (hence the name) - but don't worry, I am asthmatic myself so you can be assured my handcrafted items are kept smoke and dander free!

Examples of my work can be seen on both my own website and also on Ravelry via the attached links - feel free to request items based on what you see there!

Hi, I'm Mazz. I've been making things for years, having learned to knit and crochet from my mum when I was small. Along the way, I've picked up plenty of other skills, such as sewing, photography, jewellery making, painting, to name a few.

Returns and exchange details
If you wish to return an item, it must be in its original unused condition to be returned, unless there is a fault. You must contact me as soon as possible and aim to return the item within 30 days of your purchase where possible. Use the contact button and I will be more than happy to deal with your return as privately and as smoothly as possible. I can also accept exchanges within reason. Again, please feel free to contact me to discuss if necessary. For hygiene reasons, I cannot accept returns on items for piercings unless there is a fault.

Merchandise that has been altered will not be accepted for return or exchange. Please note that handmade items can be delicate, and must be handled appropriately. I will not refund for items which have been misused. Deposits for custom work are also non refundable.

I do not refund the any additional shipping and handling that you paid on the original order unless the item is deemed to be faulty. All shipping charges will be waived/refunded on faulty items.
Payment
Generally, items are listed complete and as seen in the store, and payment can be made through the normal Etsy means.

If you wish to make a custom order, however, after discussion, I will require a deposit before beginning any work. This deposit will be for the half of the agreed estimated cost. This is not refundable in the event the order is cancelled. Invoices will be made by paypal wherever possible. Upon completion of the item, I will let you know that it is ready, and make a listing (less deposit cost) at a mutually convenient time for you to complete the transaction.

No orders will be shipped until paid in full, whether custom or premade.
Shipping
Generally I aim to ship within 48 hours for premade items, but this may be increased during busy periods. You will be notified if this is the case. Items made to order will obviously take longer.

International buyers please note that you accept responsibility for all related duties, taxes, and customs costs associated with importing goods from me. If you are not familiar with the import fees in your country, please contact your local customs office.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please feel free to contact me for custom orders! However, before you do, please answer these questions:

Is the item you want to commission an original character of yours or a public domain idea? I do not take commissions which may infringe on other people's IP - certain monsters, video game or TV show characters, registered logos - things such as this are not open for discussion. I am very sorry if I cannot take on your project because of this, but as an artist, I respect work in the way I would want to be respected.

How large and how detailed do you want your figure? The cost depends on these factors. I charge by the hour, and obviously larger or more detailed pieces would cost more. A *very* simple figure can take around 4 hours, my more detailed larger pieces can take 20 hours or more.

Do you have reference images or a clear description of what you want made? Otherwise I will have to constantly come back to you asking questions, which will delay your order.

How quickly would you like it made? Time is certainly a factor, and rush orders will incur extra costs, if I am able to fit them into my schedule.
