Announcement   New! FLAT RATE SHIPPING!

I’ve re-worked all of my shipping and think I have it down pat.

No more needing to refund postage overpayments, nor to request a custom listing to get accurate shipping.

Lettermail rates still available on small individual items.

I may need to iron out a few kinks but I think this will simplify things immensely AND save you money! 🙌

********************************************************************************

Helping you create unique, beautiful, one of a kind handcrafts.

Designer handspun yarns for your weaving, knitting, crochet, embroidery, and macramé. Tools and supplies for creating your own handspun yarns.

My name is Jen and I created Roses & Purls to share my one of a kind yarns, supplies, and finished handcrafts.

I’m a mom of two young children, and I know how difficult it can be to find the time to search for great yarns to make your projects come alive.

We all love quick projects that provide instant gratification, and my super bulky and jumbo yarns, especially the InstantArt yarns are the
perfect material for eye-catching, unique works of fibre art.

All items are handcrafted by myself and are ready to ship. I ship via Canada Post on
Mondays and Thursdays; please allow 1-2
weeks for domestic orders, and 3-4 weeks for international orders (which includes the US).

For a candid look at the inspiration and ideas behind my shop, see my weblog at

I received two shipments of fleece and each was a new-to-me fleece (Gotland and Romney). It came with information about the fleece and ways to spin it (with or without tools). This is a fun club! Thanks Jen!

My daughter got the first shipment of her fleece. She is intrigued and can't wait to try spinning the lovely soft yarn pieces you sent her. She loved the tag too. Thank you for a unique birthday present for a crafty daughter. She's looking forward to her next package already.

About

Helping you create beautiful works of fibre art.

Helping you create unique, beautiful, one of a kind handcrafts.

I’m a mom of two young children, and I know how difficult it can be to find the time to search for great yarns to make your projects come alive.

I am a high school teacher and mom living in rural northwestern Ontario. I like a simple, old-fashioned kind of life, and spend my time knitting, sewing, spinning, gardening and dreaming of a time when life was lived at a much slower pace. I spent my childhood reading fantasy stories and books on historical handicrafts, and as I've grown older I've dabbled in as many of them as I can. My grandmother taught me how to knit when I was a young girl, and she was also the entrepreneurial spirit in the family. I love that the handmade homegrown movement has grown so much in the past several years, and that I am able to fit myself into that niche.

I created my business to showcase the items I make. Everything I produce is inspired by something I love, and I aim to be a good steward by using local, domestic, or recycled materials. I focus on natural, sustainable materials and wool is an ethical and environmentally responsible product, making it the perfect choice for me.
