5 out of 5 starsI love this little painting, whilst only small, it has a much bigger presence on a white wall....a window into a sunshine garden, suits my dining kitchen so well. It arrived promptly and very nicely wrapped, thankyou Rosie, I will be back : )

5 out of 5 starsRosie made the process of commissioning a picture for my daughter as easy as she could. She kept me updated with regular reports and photos at different stages of the process to check that I was happy with how the work was coming on. There were absolutely no problems at all, and my daughter is very happy with the finished picture. Definitely 5 stars.

About RosieLombergArt
The need to paint Cow parsley...
I was born and brought up in Stroud, Gloucestershire. I usually don't feel the need to say much more to explain the person I am today. As the Britain of the South West, it's a small but powerful place and it has a mission (to make the world wholegrain and wholesome, with the slight smell of lavender ...)
Anyway, I grew up in the beautiful Cotswold countryside and have remained fascinated by the wild plants of the kerb-sides, fields and woodlands. I studied both Art and Business Studies at A-Level, determined to try and be a practical creative person, and completed my Fine Art degree in 2009 finishing with First.
A month after leaving university, and with no idea of how to get my work out there, I began running a shop selling locally made Art and Crafts. I ran 'By Local' in Cheltenham's Regent Arcade, for 4 and a half years with the help of some significantly lovely people. Having done that, and painting in the shop & my spare time, I am now (January 2014) making time to work on my own artwork full time - with an actual studio space!.
When I was a baby my mother says I was never happier than when my pram was under a tree, and I would just watch the leaves and the gentle movement, content for hours. I believe that, as the eyes are an extension of the brain and in painting to show you how they see, an artist also reveals how they think. This makes the process as much an exploration of themselves as of the subject matter and in a way I have grown to see my works as self-portraits". For me it's all about the utter beauty in the everyday plants and overgrown spaces that made up my childhood and give me delight to this day.
