Fundamentally we're all about the bees and inspiring people to promote biodiversity.
Inspiring a global community of Bee Saviour Citizens
Bee populations are declining and we believe that inspiring an active community of urban Bee Saviour Citizens will have a positive influence on this worrying trend.
55% of the world’s population lives in cities. We believe by increasing the connection that city dwellers feel with their local bees we will raise awareness of the need for action and create a community actively responding to their disappearance.
Our unique first offer is the Bee Saviour Card which allows the people of the world to carry sugar solution in a wallet or purse. The act of reviving an exhausted bee may not make a ground breaking change to bee decline however what we believe is that the more people feel connected to the bees in their neighbourhood the more they will want to actively respond to their disappearance. What we know is that reviving an exhausted bee is a magical experience that you’ll want to share with others!
Where did Bee Saviour Behaviour begin?
We were born in a magic moment back in 2017 when our founder Dan started wondering how to get everyone to carry sugar solution to revive bees. We perfected the design of the Bee Saviour Behaviour card with a grant from The Midcounties Co-operative Community Fund and tested them with 200 pioneering Bee Saviour Citizens in the Midcounties area. Having refined the design based on your feedback we’re ready to go! We would also like to thank Populate for their support in getting us up and running!
Bee Saviour Behaviour successfully crowdfunded £27.5k to set up in 2019 as a community owned co-operative with 2000 supporters and 300 founding members.
