IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

In light of the recent events, firstly we wanted to send much love and thoughts to all our SESH family around the world. May you stay strong, healthy and keep looking after others with kindness. Our thoughts are with anyone affected in anyway throughout this.

We give thanks to the incredible humans that are caring for others or keeping communities safe and well run. It is humbling to see such compassion and warmth amid very difficult and challenging times.

We also wanted to let you all know that we are still open, crafting away and sending ready made orders the same day where possible, shipping worldwide.

Orders can be delivered direct to the home of another person and include a handwritten gift message, so even in isolation, you can still send a little thoughtful gift to the people closest.

Thank you for all your continued support. We appreciate each and everyone of you as you keep this crazy duo abel to do what we love and support our family with our little business. It means a lot to us, especially during these very uncertain times.

Much love and light,

J & S xx

We handcraft all our pieces in our Yorkshire workshop from recycled skateboards. We support skateboarders, skateparks, community projects and charities through the purchasing of broken skateboards and transform them into an array of awesome designs. We create all sorts of unique gifts from pendants, earwear, plugs, to belts, clocks, wall signs and homeware! We live and breath our craft and are always innovating. We also offer the best prices at the highest quality as we believe every single person should have an opportunity to own a mini piece of art that can bring them inspiration each time it is worn.

Each design is created with the same passion and energy that each original skateboard was created and destroyed with. Our shop is bursting with the most unique and awesome mini pieces of art, that are a symbol of strength, endurance, solidarity and honour for all who are blessed to own a piece. There are a limited amount of any design created and we include the history of each piece.

We want each person who wears SESH to reflect upon their own battles, however big or small these may seem to others. They need to look back to the place when they were perhaps at their weakest and remember how this time gave them the strength they possess today.

*******************************************************************************************

Thank you to you wonderful Etsy friends for visiting our shop and we hope you will become part of our family and world. Also, a big thank you for the fantastic and inspiring messages we have received. We will keep working hard and promise not to let you down! :)

Sending Strength, Endurance, Solidarity and Honour to you all,

Strength, Endurance, Solidarity & Honour - The Creation of ...

STRENGTH – THE CONCEPTION
SESH was fully born in 2012 by James and Stacey, in their small kitchen in Huddersfield. Just one year before they had lost everything through no fault of their own. Stacey and James found themselves without a home, moving between families with their little boy, Kai and Stacey pregnant with their daughter, Mya. They worked so hard to get out of this awful rut and create a better life for their family, but despite this the universe seemed to keep kicking them back down. However, they were blessed with an incredible support network of friends and family that helped them. It was only because of enduring so much and making it through that they finally decided to follow their dream of SESH. With nothing to lose they just went for it.

ENDURANCE - THE EARLY DAYS
Starting with no funding or help, but with £60 scraped together, tools borrowed off friends and family, and their love of skateboarding – the birth of SESH had begun. It was through hard work, perseverance, stamina, creativity and belief in the concept that it soon became a reality. It was the very qualities that are found in skateboarding that got them out of a very hard situation. James and Stacey designed and crafted pieces from broken skateboards, but always with the determination to make each piece better and better, until it was something they were proud of. Although, the creation of SESH had begun, they both still felt there was more that was needed. As they always want to do good for others and inspire, it was never going to be an option of running a business that has little or no impact on the lives of others. SESH therefore needed to become and achieve more than the skateboard jewellery alone.

SOLIDARITY – THE GROWTH
In January 2013, his childhood friend Rob bounced into their lives and gave James the belief and confidence he needed that anything was possible and that he was a talented artist. Rob truly believed that SESH could become highly innovative with an exciting future. Rob and James began crafting into the small hours developing ideas further and making them to the highest quality.
Friends would gather around, ideas began being drawn on the walls (literally) and it became a huge family. SESH got accepted for Camden Lock market as well as Nass Extreme Sports festival. SESH still had very little financially to develop, but with a family as strong as that passion outweighed the need for anything else.
In April 2013 heartbreak ripped through as Rob was lost in a car accident. At first James did not want to step near the workshop, but decided he would to make a memorial bench out of skateboards in honour of Rob. It would be his greatest challenge without Rob to lead the way. It seemed SESH would struggle to come back from this. However, the true meaning of solidarity and faith in the world was restored when Rob's incredible family gathered around to support SESH to keep going. They were invited to trade alongside Wight Trash at the Isle of Wight Festival. That summer became an incredible experience for SESH as it hit the largest UK music festivals which included Isle of Wight Festival, Latitude Festival, V Festival and Leeds Festival. SESH was brought back to life.
For this James and Stacey will always be thankful to each person. SESH is every single person that has nurtured and supported it in any way. From the people who have crossed its path and pointed out the flaws and strengths so it can grow and become at peace with itself – to the individuals that wear it with pride to honour its beginnings as a skateboard.
During this time SESH also offered their support to others and gave hope to individuals facing battles. In exchange the skateboards, SESH donate money to various skateboarding communities as well as different charities.

HONOUR – THE FUTURE
After the whirlwind of the summer, James and Stacey began planning for the future once again. SESH continued to grow and joined forces with some incredible companies, from web developers, photographer, business networks, new SESH family members, professional skateboarders and fashion designers; to help SESH really come alive and to show the world just what it is capable of.
Rob's belief in SESH and support of James is still felt, and James has continued to push himself to develop more innovative designs then he ever thought possible. In the future SESH intends to develop these relationships and stock their designs with only the best companies globally. The range of designs and new innovations will continue to grow and we will strive to support even more projects and keep inspiring people of all ages and walks of life. SESH is still only in its youth but we believe that anything is possible with the strength of the SESH family at our side. The family keeps growing daily and these people are the true force of SESH.

Returns and exchange details
We hope you will love and appreciate the careful craftsmanship gone into creating every SESH piece, and that it is made from broken, disused skateboards. However, if you are not very happy with your purchase, you are more than welcome to return or exchange it. To have a refund or exchange, you must notify us of this within 30 days after the day it was delivered. Any cancellations made outside of this 30 day period will only be subject to an exchange or credit note. We can offer exchanges on products up to 30 days after purchase. All items must be returned in perfect condition with the original packaging and labels still attached. You will need to cover the costs to return the item in the post. We cannot offer returns on customised designs unless there is a genuine fault on our behalf.

PLEASE NOTE WE CAN NOT OFFER EXCHANGES OR RETURNS ON PLUGS, TUNNELS OR EAR WEAR DUE TO HYGIENE AND HEALTH POLICIES. WE ALSO CANNOT OFFER A RETURN ON CUSTOM MADE DESIGNS SUCH AS RINGS AND PERSONALISED ENGRAVINGS .

Please also take care of your wooden jewellery. Wooden jewellery is porous and does absorb moisture from the skin so keeping it oiled regularly with natural oils (jajoba, vitamin E) will help keep in good condition and extend lifespan. This is especially important with rings, plugs and tunnels. Wooden plugs/tunnels should only be worn in healed piercings. Try not to get wood jewellery wet (shower, swimming, etc) for extended amounts of time. The best thing to do is just take it out during these activities and then put it back in afterwards. Avoid chemicals and unsuitable oils, this include many creams, soaps, shampoos, etc. From time to time you should wipe your plugs down with a damp wash cloth. Pat them dry, and re-oil them before wearing them. Over time the grain of wood can "raise up" so you may need to re-sand it with 800 grit sandpaper and then buffed with 1200 grit sandpaper. Avoid leaving your wood jewellery in direct sunlight. Wood can not be autoclaved or sterilized. We will not be held responsible or offer refunds or exchanges on designs that have not been cared for correctly.

Returning faulty/ damaged/ incorrect items

PLEASE NOTE WE CAN NOT OFFER EXCHANGES OR RETURNS ON PLUGS, TUNNELS OR EAR WEAR DUE TO HYGIENE AND HEALTH POLICIES. WE ALSO CANNOT OFFER A RETURN ON CUSTOM MADE DESIGNS SUCH AS RINGS AND PERSONALISED ENGRAVINGS .

If you would like to return your item(s) for a refund please ensure you notify us as soon as possible. If the items arrived faulty or damaged, we will be happy to replace or exchange them, provided that the fault has not obviously been caused by misuse or neglect. As our designs are delicate pieces of art they should be well cared for by the buyer. We cannot accept responsibility for breakages or damage once the item has been worn. We are just a tiny family business that produces designs to the highest quality with our own hands, so we cannot afford to cover damage through general wear and tear, particularly given the upcycled nature of our designs.

We should be able to offer a replacement or an item as similar as possible in the case of one-off designs. These will be delivered free or charge and we will also refund any postage costs to you for returning the item. We would be happy to refund the total amount if you do not wish for a replacement. When returning faulty/damaged/incorrect items they should be sent by First Class Royal Mail, as we cannot refund postage for any other more costly postage method. To return an item, please email us at seshnotstigma [!at] yahoo.co.uk. Please state your name, contact number, the date you purchased the item, along with the product code (written on the tag). Please also explain why you wish to return the item and whether you are wanting an exchange, refund or credit note. You may re-use the original packaging and clearly placing our return address on it. Please make sure that the package is securely wrapped and the seams are taped well.We recommend that you obtain a free certificate of posting from the Post Office as proof that you have sent the package. This is very important as we cannot be held responsible for items lost on their return to us.

Please note that any delays or damages caused by the postal service is not our responsibility. We will always do our best to support your case and to pursue a formal complaint with the postal service. For items of high importance we recommend choosing to pay extra for a tracked and signed delivery option. We always get proof of purchase for every item we ship, so we would be more than happy to send you this evidence to help with your claims for lost, damaged or missing packages.
Payment
We accept Paypal.

Once we receive your payment, your order will be processed within 24 hours.

In the rare event that an order is lost in the post I will file for loss, however this takes several weeks from the time of filing (overseas packages can be filed as lost after 30 working days have passed). For this reason trackable postage is recommended if you're not willing to wait for the claims process involved in filing for loss with the Certificate of Posting.

**STATING A DATE AT CHECKOUT THAT YOU WANT AN ORDER BY DOES NOT IN ANY WAY GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE THE ORDER BY THIS DATE** IF YOU REQUIRE EXPEDITED SHIPPING WITH A GUARANTEED ARRIVAL DATE YOU MUST CONTACT ME PRIOR TO ORDERING. ALL ORDERS ARE SHIPPED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INFORMATION STATED ABOVE.If guaranteed next day shipping is selected, please note that this will be the next day from when the item is processed, so for example a custom plug/ring may take 5 working days to create and will be sent guaranteed next day from when it is made.

OUR PRODUCTS & CONSISTENCY

All our items are handmade from broken and damaged skateboards. The colours are originally from the board and have not been painted on by ourselves. They are carefully crafted to a high standard but on occasion may contain some scarring from the skateboard that cannot be avoided. Where the scarring is obvious and not to the quality we (as perfectionists) are happy with, we will not sell these items, or only offer them at a discounted rate with this stated in the description. Some designs are complimented by the scarring or original damaged image from the board, and in this case we make this clear and the detail is shown in our images. As all our items are handmade there may be some slight inconsistencies between each item of the same design, but these are very slight. We have extensive quality controls in place to ensure the finest and most incredible designs are made to a high standard across the range. At SESH we genuinely love every item created and helping the skateboards memory keep living on, so do not compromise on any piece we craft. The jewellery findings used to turn these designs into pendants/earrings/brooches have been obtained from British retailers and comply with any regulations.

Please note that the listings selected are the skateboard and its colours and on occasion the orders of the layers may differ due to the handmade nature of this craft.

The plugs and tunnels are photographed at 14mm size, so the final product may differ if smaller or larger sizes are chosen. However, the same skateboard with colours are chosen and the same flare size applies. If unsure, please do contact us and we are always happy to help and guide.
