Slow Lines Co. was created in Spring 2020, focusing on clay pots, wall hangings and prints each hand painted or drawn with original designs. Each piece is made my hand and painted in West Berkshire.

I wanted to create patterns and prints but wanted to go further than just paper. My goal is to create patterns and designs that are both minimal but impactful.

Why Slow Lines Co.?

I wanted a simple name that represented myself, my brand and my products. Recently, I have found it calming to live life a little more slowly. Still filled with adventure but with a little less chaos. My new designs are much simpler than I have ever done. I used to work with Indian wooden block prints, the designs were always lovely and detailed, but I wanted to feel freer when I was creating. Currently I am creating clay pots but as this little business grows, so will my range of products. I am hoping to create prints on other materials such as cork, canvas and cement.

Environmental Impact:

I have a huge interest in doing my bit for the environment. I am currently studying with the Open University to complete a BA/BSc Honours degree, choosing social and environmental science modules in relation to climate action. This interest ensures I do everything to keep the impact Slow Lines Co. has on our planet to as little as possible.

Standard packages are shipped out in cardboard postal boxes which are 100% recyclable. The clay items are obviously fragile, but the parcels are filled with natural raffia. It's made up of 100% vegetable fibres and is free from dyes or colouring. And most importantly, it can also be recycled!

Cards and prints are dispatched in a hardback envelope which can be recycled.

Vases and plant pots are hand painted blanks and are currently not made by myself. ANy plastic packaging such as bubble wrap or liners are part of their original packaging from my suppliers.

Canvases need a little more protection than the other Slow Lines Co. products and therefore on occasion do require some plastic packaging to keep your art piece safe. Any plastic packaging that may be included to protect the item will have been re-used from order received from other small businesses.
