5 out of 5 starsThis fabric art piece is lovely. I am struggling with my decision: keep for my collection or give it to a treasured friend. I'm leaning towards keeping it, honestly, but sometimes I am overcome with my selfish guilt and in a focused moment of generosity I can change my mind and in an instant wrap and post it in a flurry of activity. Wonderful piece of fabric art, delivery timely in perfect condition.

5 out of 5 starsI can't wait to dive into my packet of fabrics and trims and decide what I want to make. A quick scan of the packet revealed a lovely selection of color and texture. Although I need to complete some current projects first, having this packet available to study and plan my project ahead of time adds to the anticipation. Timely delivery, perfect condition.

About threadnoodle
Threadnoodle - noodling about with thread (and fabric and beads and buttons and paper...)
I've created with fabric and thread right from the very first day I was shown how to use a sewing machine. My grandmothers, mother and step-mother were all very proficient knitters and sewing machine botherers, so I grew up in an environment where those skills were valued and passed on, and having a stash of fabric and wool and other craft materials was completely normal and expected!
I have a City & Guilds Diploma in Machine Embroidery and my sewing machine will always be my tool of choice. I do also love a bit of felt-making, and I'm trying to expand my repertoire of hand embroidery stitches.
My most favourite materials are recycled, pre-loved fabrics, and good quality artisan beads and bits and pieces. Vintage prints remind me of my childhood, and colourful Indian cottons, sari silks and beads stir my soul.
I prefer natural, renewable materials, as my eco-warrior side is bothered by the oil used to create synthetic fabrics, and the ocean pollution from synthetic fibres. But I also believe passionately in reducing waste and recycling, so I will use a whole range of fabrics and fibres in my work: I prefer to make something beautiful out of recycled materials of all descriptions, rather than see them thrown away.
The inspiration for my work comes from my love of the materials themselves, as well as plants, wild places, and ethnic art and craft.
