About

Treefrog Carpentry is run by Annie and Rob Williams from our home and workshop in North Devon. Put simply; Annie's the brains, Rob's the brawn!

Rob retrained as a carpenter via a City and Guilds accredited course in 2008 and has since taken on all manner of wood related commissions from bespoke wardrobes to green oak summer houses to reclaimed oak furniture. He has garnered a wide range of experience in the industry and now loves nothing better than to trawl our local Devon sawmills for quality peices of locally grown timber. If he's not at the sawmill you'll find him in his workshop whistling along to BBC6!

Annie runs the web shop, keeps on top of the books and web presence and vets any new commissions. She's a dab hand with a camera and has a great eye for colour and design, but her main job (outside of being a top mum and a very lovely person) is to stop Rob buying too much wood!

Don't soak your chopping board in water, just wipe clean with a damp cloth and apply a little oil from time to time.

Disclaimer

Each piece of wood we use is unique, so inconsistences in the grain or colour for example are to be expected. Imperfections in the reclaimed timber we use are also likely. We feel this adds to the character and story of the wood used.
All our products are made from kiln dried wood. However, being a natural product it can have a life of its own by expanding and contracting when exposed to temperature and humidity changes. Our products can experience small movements and cracks as it adjusts to its new home - this is not a fault, but a natural occurrence within the wood itself.
