Janis created Unfettered on a whim and a dream. Having completed a PhD in English and teaching university, she found that fibre art unleashed the sorts of creative freedoms that she hadn't found working in academia. So she followed what she loved.

Loren has been supporting Unfettered since its inception, and in 2019 he took the plunge to become a co-owner/operator and full-time in house metal-maker. With his 25 years of metalworking experience, Loren brings us an eye for precision and detail!

Brooke has been with Unfettered since 2019. She began as a shipper, and quickly became our lead creative. Not only is Brooke a masterful macrame artist with years of knotting experience, but she's also a fearless mother of three young children.
