I turned 26 back in August (2021) and it’s really not a big deal. But the past few years shit’s been tough for me mentally, so right now I’m celebrating a whole new world, and that’s a big deal.

Over the past few years I have been struggling with generalised anxiety disorder among other things. It didn’t start all of a sudden, didn’t come linger for a bit and went away, no. It just kind of creeped in over a period of time and settled in. How long is it gonna be living in my life rent free?
Honestly, I’m waiting for a judge to set a hearing date for eviction. 😂 Fingers crossed.

Embroidery came into my life at the perfect time. It has become this sort fantastic way of escaping constant life worries, battles with my own mind, and just rough rough times.
I love this (embroidery) community and I’m excited to continue to be a part of it!

I’ve come to realise “Embroidery against anxiety” is a perfect motto for me.

My stitchy people will understand this one:
I think one of the reasons I find myself pretty much attached to satin stitch is because I don’t have to think about it. It just flows. And turns out you can embroider cool stuff with just one simple stitch.
