Welcome! We are so glad you popped in to learn a little more about Winks Design Studio.
WDS è una boutique a conduzione familiare, di proprietà femminile specializzata in disegni disegnati a mano a mano. Non compriamo nessuno dei nostri disegni! Nessun SVG è qui. Brea inizia ogni progetto nel suo album da disegno o sul suo iPad (occasionalmente è stato usato anche un tovagliolo casuale) e poi li mettiamo a punto fino a quando non pensiamo che sia giusto.
Questo negozio è un sogno che si avvera per noi. Non possiamo credere di poter trascorrere le nostre giornate insieme; creare e portare gioia ai nostri clienti.
Nel 2020, mentre il mondo stava vacillando con COVID, la nostra famiglia stava vacillando con una dura diagnosi di salute. A me (Melissa) è stato diagnosticato il Lupus. Poco dopo la mia diagnosi, sono caduto e ho subito alcune gravi lesioni e ho avuto bisogno di molte cure. Brea si stava avvicinando al suo ultimo anno di liceo e le è stato assegnato un progetto per creare un business e un business plan per avviare quell'attività. A settembre del suo ultimo anno, aveva completato il suo progetto e presentato un piano per Winks Design Studio. L'8 ottobre 2021 WDS ha ufficialmente appeso la sua tegola. a novembre, Brea e io abbiamo firmato i documenti di partnership per renderlo ufficiale.
Brea ha continuato a completare le sue responsabilità dell'ultimo anno, ha completato la doppia iscrizione per ottenere la sua certificazione di progettazione grafica da CALARTS; il tutto mentre agiva come badante a tempo pieno per la mamma e gestiva WDS.
Abbiamo imparato così tanto su noi stessi, l'un l'altro e su ciò che è importante nella vita. È per questo che ci impegniamo per l'eccellenza nei nostri prodotti e nel nostro servizio clienti. Siamo orgogliosi che le nostre camicie siano prodotte in un ambiente ecologico e senza sfruttamento negli Stati Uniti! Post scriptum Da dove viene il nome Winks Design Studio? Era il soprannome di Brea fin dall'infanzia. Il nome Wink è rimasto con lei fino ad oggi.
WDS is a family run, women owned boutique that specializes in handmade-hand drawn designs. We don’t buy any of our designs! No SVG’s here. Brea starts each design either in her sketchbook or on her iPad (occasionally even a random napkin has been used) and then we fine tune each one until we think it is just right.
This shop is a dream come true for us. We can’t believe that we get to spend our days together; creating and bringing joy to our customers.
In 2020 as the world was reeling with COVID our family was reeling with a tough health diagnosis. I (Melissa) was diagnosed with Lupus. Shortly after my diagnosis, I fell and sustained some serious injuries and needed a lot of care. Brea was approaching her senior year in high school and was assigned a project to create a business and a business plan for starting that business. By September of her senior year, she had completed her project and presented a plan for Winks Design Studio. On October 8, 2021 WDS officially hung its shingle. in November, Brea and I signed partnership paperwork to make it official.
Brea continued to finish her senior year responsibilities, completed dual enrollment to get her graphic design certification from CALARTS; all while acting as a full time caregiver for mom and running WDS.
We have learned so much about ourselves, each other, and what is important in life. It is because of this, that we strive for excellence in our products and our customer service. We are proud that our shirts are produced in an eco-friendly, sweatshop free environment in the USA! We package and ship each of our orders in our NC based workshop.

P.S. Where does the Winks Design Studio name come from? It was Brea’s nickname from childhood. The name Wink has stuck with her to this day.
