The dress shipped and arrived very quickly, and the adorable pattern makes my cat lady self smile. It feels light on and is very comfortable. I am 5’9” and the dress hits at a good length.

The dress fits great and is super flattering. It's a little bit larger that I thought, but since it's a wrap it is very adjustable. It arrived in just a couple of days!

Hi, I’m Angeline, The Dressmaker!

The Dressmaker began in 2014 as a way for me to simultaneously realize my dreams of a) starting my own business and b) becoming a fashion designer. It also served as a solution to some of the problems I’d always had with the fashion industry, the biggest of which was that hardly anything fit me properly! There had to be a better way, so I experimented with a few designs and fabrics and finally settled on a silhouette that was easy to wear and easy to look great in. It all began with dresses but has since expanded into shirts and skirts as well, I hope you like them!

About Our Products

Dressmaker designs are made with comfort and ease in mind. I don’t love zippers or buttons, but do love elastic waists and pockets! All Dressmaker creations are designed, cut and sewn in a smoke free, pet free environment by Angeline Cuming in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

I believe that clothing should be fun and flattering, not frustrating. We spend a lot of time worrying about whether we'll fit into something, when it's not us that needs to fit in.

Sizing details

Dressmaker dresses tend to fit slightly bigger than your average store bought brand because, frankly, I disagree with their sizing!
Due to the fact that all Dressmaker dresses are made with a stretch knit, the sizing can be very flexible, but as a general rule the sizing is as noted in the product description.

Care instructions

Care instruction labels are sewn into the skirt seam of each dress. All dresses are recommended to be washed in cold water (preferably on gentle cycle) and hung or laid flat to dry.

Custom and personalized orders

Unfortunately I am not able to do custom work at this time, however, if you see a style that I make and would like it in a fabric that I've made in another style (for example: a bird dress in an Anabel cut), please message me and I'll check my fabric availability!
